On the anime, watching Gary vs. Ash fight at the end of Johto after several years of break from Pokemon was so awesome. They stopped airing it after JLC and didn't begin Master Quest until few years later. I finished it before anyway, couldn't bear the constant fillers of JLC... I believe I ended watching Pokemon between Morty and Chuck fight or so.
When I got access to the Internet I was finally able to watch it and damn, it was so good. Even started watching the whole series for a bit but conclusion to Kyogre and Groudon was a total letdown and I stopped again :/

As for water's final evo typing, his appearance pretty much give him away as probably becoming a Water/Ice type. Though getting a new Water/Fighting type besides Poliwrath would be awesome.

I remember when I got home, turned on TV and waited for orange islands opening. IMO it was way too hip for it's own good and pretty mediocre. Then, IT started playing. What I must've thought in my head was probably close to "HOLY FUCK", just in kid's words. I still think it is the greatest opening, and my reaction to it was close to when Metroid: Other M or SMG2 was revealed
Internet ruined it now, instead of suddenly getting a bunch of new Pokemons with rad opening theme, we now get a few a the time and we even know the dates they will be released. Sad

EDIT: Actually otters are surprisingly fast swimmers; I think Wotter's final evo will be a speedy Water type for sure, and when I was drawing those fakes earlier the seashells kind of made me think he'd have high Defence too, hence why I decked him out in a kind of seashell armour. That would make for an intriguing starter at least.

I foresee the Otter being the speedy one . . . or a mix of speed and attack. Her typing . . .man, people com up with some crazy type set ups for her next and last stages. I have heard anything for Water/ Thunder (the nose may lead to that in a later stage) to Water/ Rock (people seem to think the shell isn't just a picture/ texture on it's blue body cover) to Water/ Fighting (they bash their food into rocks and the last 2 gens they have had the fighter type be the cool and speedy/ attack one so I could see this one happening).
The most boring one is Water/ Ice . . . I don't see it and it's not like Otters are know for being in Ice Lands. :/

What are the dual types we've had for starters in the past? Last gen was Grass/Ground, Fire/Fighting, and Water.....ice? I also remember that the Bulbasaur line in the first gen went Grass/Poison, but I have no idea beyond that. With the snowman-ish design of Wotter it wouldn't surprise me to see the water/ice again, as boring as it would be. Since I doubt that the pig would somehow become a fighting type, what other options might there be? Fire/ground?
