Pokemon sequel is under development for DS

Pretty sure the "Brack" in "Brack and White" is a funny typo because it sounds like Barack, as in Barack Obama, who is... Well, black.

Or it's just a play on how the Japanese pronounce Ls as Rs...

It also sounds like Brock, who is also black. Or possibly latino. Or blasian. I'm going to go with blasian.

No wait, scratch that. He's blatisian.

If he's blatasian, then that was some freaky sex his parents were into. All three of them.

Nah, see. His mother's blasian and most latinos are some proportion of "white" anyway.

Thus, he has more-or-less equal proportions of black, asian, white and amerindian. Since for some reason, white never "counts" when talking about ethnicity (or both Colin Powell and Barack Obama would be considered white). If it'll make you feel better, he's whiblatasian with a hint of cherry.

Fire/dark seems like a possibility...although then Pignition would be cramping Houndoom's style. :D Or, if they want to go with the snake motif, how about making Smugleaf's evolution into a grass/psychic? Has there been such a combo before?

Yup. Latinos are considered caucasians.

. . . Tahts it?

I thought it was about the actual Pokemon in the pic. :/

And the 2nd form looks lame but the last looks kick ass, I could see something like that working for the game.

Ugh.

Fire and Dark are the two most overrated types ever. Every boy between 6 and 12 loves them because they're "bad" and "rebellious" and "cool" or whatever. Houndoom is the worst manifestation of this.

Celebi is Grass/Psychic.

Psychic's just as bad. Well, almost.

*loves fire and dark-types*

Well, mainly fire. Growlithe. <3

I'm still holding on to the fantasy of dragon sub-types for each starter. I know it may be impossible but a snake-dragon, pig-dragon, and snowman-dragon sound (hilariously) awesome.

Where are you getting this from?
How many 6 - 12 year old boys do you meet in the Pokemon scene? :/

They are also pretty under repped which I think is why so many use the ones there are . . . cause theres so few.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying I'd WANT to see that show up again, but it's an option with the way that mr. piggy is designed. Ultimately this is one of those cases that we'll probably have no idea so long as the official second evo of each starter remains a mystery.

Celebi's Grass/Psychic I think.

I think most of the neutral combinations have been done already, we're a bit lacking in representatives for combinations of opposing types like Fire/Water or Ice/Dragon though.

Don't know for sure I'm afraid.

Dark/Ghost > fire/dark

Fire and Dark are terrible types.

They're just as bad as water and grass and psychic and bug and flying and normal and fighting and poison and rock and ground and steel and electric and ice and dragon

ghost is cool, though

Flying > All

Flying types are always so happy usually. ^_^

As everyone knows, it visits peaceful regions, bringing them gifts of kindness and sweet blessings.

I have a badass Togekiss on my JP Heart Gold. What an awesome pokemon.

Yeah I have one I traded to SoulSilver from Pearl, was my first competitively-trained Pokemon. It's such a beast. :D

Ghosts are weak sauce. Dark-types totally took their place as the type the puts fear over the psychics.

One day... one day... one of the damn games is gonna have a pure flying type.

And when it does, I'll be there!

Your only real hope is a Evee evol.

And Normal is my pick . . . most are lame as fuck because theres too many of them (like with water) but my Lopunny kicks ass.

The question is, why have anything be Normal/*? Normal doesn't exactly have any fancy type specific moves. Especially since most Pokémon can learn Normal-type moves.

6-12 year old boys are like... most of the pokemon scene. It's the nerdcore number-crunching, IV-and-egg-move breeding, EV-training folks like us that're mostly in their 20s. We're like the GAF of pokemon. We're a tiny minority.

It's just that I remember back in '99 and '00 when all the primary school kids on the bus just wouldn't shut up about how cool Charizard, Houndoom and their respective types were. I'd overhear them and cringe, especially after finding out what Houndoom was.

Fire and Dark types are just a little bit "evil" and thus 90s cool because of their tenuous connection with devils and hellfire.

But I love Body Slam. Miltank and Snorlax are awesome. And a Scrappy Miltank is even more awesome.

I wonder what Game Freak's reasoning is to have all the birds be part normal.
They aren't, though. Aerodactyl is Rock/Flying. Wingull is Water/Flying.

I assume that Flying is used as a secondary type because of the way the move Roost works. (Roost temporarily removes the Flying type attribute from the Pokemon and all of the resistances/weaknesses associated with it, so a Normal/Flying Pokemon would become a Normal Pokemon for one turn.)

Girafarig has a Normal dual-typing so that it can be a Psychic Pokemon with an immunity to Ghost moves (and its design is kind of sensible for a Normal/____ typing). Bibarel is Normal/Water so that it gets a STAB bonus on the most HMs possible.

I think it has more to do with design then anything :/

Back then, when GameFreak actually PUT IN fucking fire Pokemon and just made the Dark Type, they had some true bad ass designs. Hell, to this day the only "cool looking" Fire Pokemon that are not starters are from the first gen.

Some other types don't have random bad ass designs for their non-starter/ legendary Pokemon. Like water . . . where is their bad ass Pokemon that fit those rules? Their just fucking fish most of the time . . .

I mean look at these

You can clearly see the "coolness" of their designs and I think thats what it comes down to . . . these types are (fire WAS in the first gen) heavy in "cool designs".

Seriously? I liked Charizard as a kid because it was a dragon that didn't look like the hideous lovechild of Barney the dinosaur and a bat. (I'm looking at you, Dragonite)

And it had a flaming tail, which is always nice. But seriously. Dragons. Awesome.
Should I rest my case?

I feel the same way . . . I never got into the whole "beast Dragon Type of the gen" thing until Garchomp because they looked fucking lame to me where as Garchomp is a friggin hammerhead shark!

Noooo..... I found out over the weekend my Emerald version got a glitch so little known even bulba doesn't list it. One patch in the Berry Masters garden is stuck with a forever ungrowing lump >.<; When even my super perfect pkmn game goes bad it almost makes me wanna pick up all 5 gen 4 games in one day. But I must not give in! Who knows what glitches they'll succumb to?! Instead I must..... EV nuke/train my surprisingly high IV'd starter Swampert and raise it to 100 (via Colosseum's The Under Colosseum)!

Oh an btw for Gen 5 someone needs to tell Game Freak there needs to be an easy item transfer option aside from making a POKéMON hold one and trading it! Like for instance I have over 100 Pomeg Berrys! Do ya know how long it would take to send all of those over? Whaaat? I should just grow them all over again in the new game? No way thats messed up! I demand equal opporunity for items!!
