Pokemon sequel is under development for DS

Why does White Version get the black Pokemon, and Black Version get the white one? That's a little odd.

Maybe to just change things up a little?

I presume there'll be some kind of motive behind it though.

It's like those Brain Training puzzle where you have to say the colour, not the word e.g. Blue

These guys are already streets ahead of Dialga and Palkia and we don't even know their types.
So agreed. Although, this does get me to wondering: What will the third one to these guys look like?
blah blah grey blah blah

i bet zekrom gives a mean tail whip with that jet engine, and i dont get the relation between the ram and rom thing, unless u guys are talking about ram as in random access memory, and rom as in game roms. if its not that then i dont get it

Random access memory
Read-only memory.

Yeah, when the RAM/ROM thing was pointed out to me the implication was that these Pokemon are somehow computer related. But apparently these are yet another pair of historical beings, so forget that.

Zekrom's appearance leads me to believe that a Light type will be added to the game. Anyone else agree?
what, dark type attacks are generally themed around being sneaky and underhanded (bite, feint, thief,, sucker punch etc) so have a light type themed around honor and fair fighting? A light type themed entirely around magical laser beams and flashes of light and such would be more the polar opposite of a ghost type that dark type.
Also: probably getting black. I actually think white bird thing looks cooler.

Aww, that would have been a really interesting twist. I thought Hoenn did the best job in terms of representing the legendaries in terms of the overall region/story. Hope this means more details soon.

They could just make Shadow type. Dark =/= "unholy" after all, and fair fighting is already covered by Fighting.

well on the dumb over-designed meter on one side you have yu-gi-oh and the egyptian gods, and on the other side you have like every uh "digivolved" (fuck you) digimon

I feel like a "shadow" type wouldn't do very much not already covered by ghost and dark types. we're not going to get straight-up evil in a pokemon game. generic shadowy-themed attacks like shadow ball or dark pulse or night slash are already around. I doubt a new shadow-themed type would be introduced. However, I could imagine a light type being introduced, even if there's no substantial reason to think so. They could just not worry about the incongruity I originally mentioned and have literally wielding light as a weapon be the motif. dark-types do have a couple moves like dark pulse and night slash that don't adhere to the sneaky-bastard theme.

Im guessing the third one will be grey, a cross between the two XD

Personally prefer the white one, cant really see any detail on the black one as its too dark.

Have people actually seen Digimon anyway? XD

Seriously.

Who said they can't change types? Some attacks weren't the type it used to be (e.g. Rollout)

I think I already proved you I did?

I'm not saying they are bad designs (I like both of them!). Digimon had some pretty rad designs back in the day. It's just that I can totally see this fuckers as the "Mega" evolution of some angel/draconic based Digimon.

Or maybe a fusion of both.

Im pretty sure it's called "Fighting".

Yup. In essence, Dark = pragmatic fighter while Fighting = honorable fighter

That's why I propose Shadow and Light, and simply alter certain moves (e.g. Shadow Ball and Dark Pulse be turned to Shadow).

Actually all mega levels are pretty much mecha forms (which I never really liked XD)

very smart move putting the black pokemon on the white version and the white pokemon on the black version = true racists am confused :D

I was worried for a second there

The Dark type is kinda shit isn't it? I don't see how a Pokemon can be naturally evil. Or is it just supposed to be a type of mystery, which is a shit excuse for a type anyway.

i swear if these two guys "fuse" to create the pokemon grey legendary heads will roll.. with happiness. i like me some digimon
Like you said it'll just cause more Digimon comparisons and as a result more eyerolling from Ookami.

It would look pretty annoying due to there being a lack of contrast if Zekrom was on the black cover and Reshiram being on the white cover. Sort of.

Dark =/= Evil. It's just dirty fighting.

With that said, nearly all Dark moves are physical so they had to improvise with one special attack (Dark Pulse, which I always thought was like Aura Sphere).

Seraphimon

Magnadramon

Nothing mecha.

Reshiram looks like a boring chicken thingie. Zekrom looks badass, like its going blow shit up and it does remind me a little bit of Palkia. White version FTW.
