sorry, but...isn't the PS4/XONE version already confirmed? announce alongside the Arcade one (after the initial unintentional leak)?
that's a big difference to me.

Just to correct you, Tekken 7 has never FORMALLY been announced for PS4, Xbone, PC yet.

And the fact that Pokemon games have always been on Nintendo systems, there really isnt a reason to keep beating around the bush, Nintendo needs to keep WiiU momentum and officially announcing this game for WiiU would be pretty big

AAK already covered most of it above.

But besides that...what would be the point? Even if they do announce it, a port still likely wouldn't come for anywhere between 6-12+ months after the arcade release (which usually doesn't include the loke test period).

Giving the way that some have been reacting to FExSMT being a no-show for some time, I think it would just be in their better interests to not worry about announcing a console port until some time has passed since the game has been in arcades AND they're ready to commit on a release date.

Japan only?

do you have to pay premium to not get booted during events like these?

Indeed you do. It will get mental once the Pokkén stuff comes.

I remember the original reveal, I didn't get premium and got booted all through the Pokkén reveal. Was terrible.

I do wish they'd shift to Youtube streaming.

I underestimated the length of this stream. While it begins at 19:00, the official Twitter just confirmed that the information will come at around 21:30 JST.

That is:

22:30 AEST
13:30 CEST
12:30 GMT/UTC
07:30 EST
04:30 PST

Stream start:

Pokkén Information start:

OP countdown is needed

Weird, it went pretty smoothly on my end. Just damn lucky I guess. XD

PC and iOS apps are a lot different to a fully fledged game.

You're basically asking for the equivalent of Mario Kart on the PC.

Nope

Stream starts at 19:00 JST which is in 17 and a half hours. The Pokkén stuff is 2 hours 30 minutes into the stream.

Nintendo developed and published Mario Kart and it includes flagship IP solely owned by them, Nintendo are not developing or publishing Pokkén and it includes IP that is partly owned by them which is already on PC.

I'm mostly playing devils advocate but i do believe there is a chance it may get a PC release once the Arcade and Wii U versions are out. Meh, i'll keep my crazy predictions to myself for now....

On with the hype train!! Hoping for some Pikachu or Ghasty/haunter action myself.

Mario was already on the PC. Mario Kart is in the arcade. It's a similar situation.

Nintendo also own all the trademarks for Pokémon despite the franchise being split in ownership between them, Game Freak & Creatures Inc.. It's more complicated than you think. However, if it comes out of the arcade, it is almost certain to be published by Nintendo.

There better be Greninja in Pokken.

I'm pretty disappointed by Smash's moveset considering pretty much all of it is water when Greninja would have offered so much more.

I wish Pokken wasn't 3D...

I'd say it's pretty likely that Bandai Namco publishes at least in Japan.

In Japan, possible. However, this wouldn't be the first time that a Pokémon game developed by a company that also publishes isn't published by them. Pokémon Conquest, for example, was Koei Tecmo developed but published by The Pokémon Company/Nintendo.

We'll see.

I disagree. There's not too many 3D fighters to go around as it is, and those that are still around (re: VF, Tekken, DOA, Soul Calibur [barely]) are largely the same as they always have been.

The fact that Pokkén stands to be the first new type of fighting game that Namco has made in ages, is part of the reason I'm so excited for it. And perhaps it could breath some life into 3D fighters, as a whole.

And anything on PC was just scraps by unknown devs or just small things altogether like Pokedex 3D which originated on the 3DS eShop.

Nintendo would never allow something as big as Pokken to not end up on Wii U, at least if it goes anywhere after the arcades, that's where it'll be. Also I would say 4DS, but fighters are far more well known on consoles.

The statement Harada made that it doesn't have the high/low/mid system of Tekken intrigues me. I think too many people think this will just be Tekken with a Pokémon skin, but I think we're in for a treat.

I really dislike Tekken's fighting system and movement so hopefully this plays nothing like it. Never been a fan of Lucario's design the "realistic" fur just makes it worse.

It excites me, but it also worries me, too. Namely since they just literally tossed out that detail, but didn't outline much else, at the time. Needless to say, it gave rise to a number of "concerned parties".

I mean, they act like we gamers are just open to just about anything that diverges just slightly off the norm. Especially us fighting game fans! *kappa*

I could go for a new 3D fighter, played too many 2D recently. I hope it's different enough from Tekken to have it's own "identity" so to speak.

Didn't they mention once that were looking into doing some sort of type weakness/strength mechanic?

that could be big especially if different pokemon can use different moves of different types

I really hope they don't try to incorporate type weaknesses into this. That would just bring a ton of trouble trying to decently balance the cast.

I do hope we at least see Hold Items as a mechanic, but as long as it doesn't lead to silly SFxT gem shenanigans. And Abilities would be neat if they worked like SFA3 -isms.

Far as I can recall, all that was said was that they were looking into "new type of mechanic", and will incorporate "plenty of Pokémon-like features" to go along with the game's own ideas.

But again, because these details were so relatively vague and were captured back when the game was touted at being "around 30% complete"? It's all on tomorrow's stream to hopefully shed some light on things definitively.

EDIT:

Hold Items/Abilities would be one thing that could definitely lend some degree of customization to your PKMN that would pay tribute to the series itself, which is one reason I could definitely see it in the mix.

I just hope that any ideas relating to being able to actually dress up PKMN are kept...more modest, compared to what's in Tekken now-a-days.

You can refresh or close and reopen the page to get back in but it's pretty annoying and you could be getting kicked out repeatedly every few seconds.

It will be different from every other big 3D fighter out there(Tekken, DoA, Virtua Fighter), based on the little we know about the game(no high/low mix-up game).

I would love if we could play with the non-evolved Pokemon (Torchic, Riolu, Machop), and evolve them through the match, a la Digimon Rumble Arena :D

Can't wait for the new information

That or a transforming character like Deoxys would be nice.

Also Aegislash would be a perfect stance character.
