So, I'm reading that early voting in FL is only up 32k for Dems compared to 250k in 2012. Is that true?
You're probably comparing different numbers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Democrats actually lost the early vote by party registration in 2012, but Latinos and young voters overwhelmingly register NPA (No Party Affiliation).

A little while ago Robby Mook (Clinton's campaign manager? I dunno if that's his official title) said they estimate they have about a 170k lead in Florida based on early vote, which has surged more recently as well. Case in point: More Florida Latinos have now voted early than in all of 2012, including the Election Day vote. I can't fathom Clinton's margins being smaller than Obama's, but with early vote it's mostly educated guesswork anyway since we don't see the actual results until Election Day.

Best part about Cooper winning (I mean if you had to choose): Governor's party has full control over election boards. Take your early voting restrictions and shove them up your ass, McCrory.

Ugh, I never want to see or hear Rudy again...
You know while we're more or less playing the waiting game I might as well ask this question that has been on my mind for a while

Was Rudy always this bad? I was in elementary school when he was mayor but I remember him being pretty well liked and his handling of 9/11 was commended. But nowadays he constantly comes off as a horrible human being on CNN and the like. Did he get worse or was he always shit and I just didn't notice because I was ten?

Just a reminder, brought to mind by reading Krugman's article today: after all of the talk of transparency, etc., the various forces arrayed against Clinton never found anything in her emails to really nail her with.

And Trump still has not released his tax returns, breaking a precedent going back to the Nixon administration, and he is going to get away with it yet no one in the media is talking about it anymore.

Transparency huh? The double standards during this election have been shocking.

He was always a piece of shit guilty of racism and corruption. He was actually going to get done for corruption but then 9/11 happened and saved his career. Hence why he deflects everything with "were you the mayor during 9/11? no I didn't think so".

Yes. He was a terrible mayor who was in the "right" time to benefit from 9/11. His role is even disputed during 9/11 from the brave story he tells to the people who were around him on that day. In a way it's good that this election will have ruined his legacy to what it should've been.

Polls looking good. Holy hell just one more day.

I really feel that early voting should be in every state and more standardized. Really would deflate all those people outside the US who freak out and ask why we don't vote on a weekend or have election day be a national holiday.

To be fair, aren't these kind of meaningless? Electoral votes are key at this point. I think she'll win pretty handily, but still.

Also, that Trump staff is nightmare fuel.

Murphy is done. He will make it closer than a lot of people suspected I think but it's just too much of a hurdle

I want Burr gone though. Obama needs to get his ass back down to NC.

Every state should have 2 weeks of early voting and mail in ballots.

I think in the end it will save everyone time and headaches

At this point yes, polls are kind of meaningless and really just noise now that the election has been going on for a couple of weeks. But they are comforting for any that need it ^_^

Yep. I'm of the mind that it would be damn near impossible for someone at the center of a national tragedy to be so incompetent that the come out of it looking bad (Katrina not withstanding). But he was always a turd, and it seems like as time has gone on he's bought into his own pseudo-celebrity status and become unhinged. Now he's an unhinged turd who makes scary Bilbo faces on tv.

I mentioned this last night but I don't really think it's meaningless because a comfortable popular vote lead pretty much guarantees a electoral college win. This isn't Bush v Gore, where the candidates were less than a percent between each other.

Ugh, this one is tough to swallow.

Edit: am I going crazy or does this have two paragraphs that are repeats of each other?

It's closer than I expected as well (Particularly with college-whites, but I'm a tad skeptical that he will do that well) but the overwhelming majority of NC polls have Clinton tied or ahead and then there's the ground game. I think she squeaks it out.
