Reps are up 116k over 2012. Not really positive.

That is weird then because I recall reading much more positive takes from a number of posters over the past several days. Were those assessments incorrect then? Not harping on you personally, just saying there seems to be a mixed message here.

Nate Silver after the election: "Well I didn't say that Hillary winning Florida, North Carolina, Nevada, etc. was impossible, its just that she had a lower chance than Donald to win and she beat the odds. Nothing wrong with my model there."

It's going to be very close in NC, but we still have the better ground game. God damn Republicans for what they did to early voting though.

I think the disappointment stems from everyone's hope that NC would be a decisive win rather than a tight one.

This is where I'm at. Was really hoping my state would make a clean break for blue, especially after McCrory's nonsense, but alas.

Also missed that the Clinton's are back in Raleigh tonight... At freakin' midnight. Maybe they'll start earlier than the site says like last time.

Saw this as I was getting ready to board the train to go to work.
Can't wait for this to be over.
If you want to feel better about it, just imagine that guy having to clean that shit off his windows on Wednesday while the car radio is nothing but talk about Clinton's victory.

This is the Dem problem with NC EV:

345k more white voters.
It looks scary but keep in mind that whites under 35 and women of all ages in that chunk are voting for Hillary. Mostly married white men are a problem.

NC will come through for Hillary. Souls2Polls could only help so much because Govenor McFuckface gutted the early voting there. Despite that we're even.

What's really crazy is that 14% would still vote for Trump. WHY.

Because it is easier for Hispanics to pass as 'real' Americans and not receive the kind of hatred directed at 'non-Americans' (from the perception of the Republican right), I think. You can see from the Latino Decisions crosstabs that if you were born in America and speak primarily English you're about 10 percentage points less likely to vote Clinton than if you were born abroad or speak primarily Spanish, and I think that's because being Hispanic is "escapable" in a way that being black isn't.

As someone who is going to a free SNF Pats game because of a bad bet.

You made a really bad bet.
Yeah, as soon as I said it I realized I should have said 20%, but I was feeling cocky. Oh well, he's not the kind of guy who would actually look up the numbers on his own and was more concerned with my "theory" that Clinton would win tomorrow.

That's what you'll say to yourself until you get to your desk Thursday morning with a "Make America Great Again" hat accompanied with a fork and steak knife!
