I think there is some truth to the blue wall in close elections. If Clinton is winning the popular vote comfortably he doesn't have a chance.

The dude played LBJ. He knows about getting stuff done, even if the sausage making isn't pretty. In fact, I attribute seeing him play the role on stage (damn straight, I saw it when it was in Boston) with making me appreciate political pragmatism a lot more, which is one of the things that made me a Hillary supporter early on.

What I don't get are the untrustworthy numbers. Especially after all the lies Trump has told, been called out and proven as well. There is no way it's all the emails with Hillary. How can Hillary move those numbers? Or are there things wrong with the polling when this question is asked or how the question is phrased?

Senate rules committee. It has no constitutional basis, other than that the Senate can make its own rules.
Not only can they eliminate the filibuster but due to having control of the supreme court they could implement draconian measures to keep democrats from being elected throughout the country. For example a national voting ID requirement that favors a particular group that overwhelmingly vote republican.

One criminal kingpin who managed to evade the law countless times supporting another? Not shocking in the least.
She just has to wait a few months and she won't have to worry about dealing with him.
One thing I do like about this episode: she's pretty much removed any doubt about her intentions for next year, should Hillary win.
I'm trying to imagine this from her perspective.. she's written or co-signed a lot of really notable, bitter dissenting opinions over the past few decades. She's been waiting for this chance to re-direct things for a looooong time. When Hillary names her replacement, I hope she's at the swearing-in ceremony so that she can revel in the moment.
