He is fucking ON tonight. This shit is his New Hampshire speech.

Hillary is an excellent debater. Obama is a mediocre debate, but still at that level infinitely better than McCain.

except now he can go after policies.. he is unleashed.

I like that Obama talks about some guy in Pennsylvania that lost his job and can't afford the gas to goto get a new job - then follows it up with saying automakers need higher fuel standards (which will equate to more expensive cars) - yes, a guy without a job needs a more expensive car!:lol

I can't believe people are clueless enough to not look past his Tiger Woods smile and see the bullshit he talks about.

Absinthe, you watching this?

Still think McCain is winning this? You still haven't told me how.

Is this a religious gathering?

I have no problem with people supporting Obama, and I even agree with him on certain things, but this constant fellating is pretty sickening. It's almost as if people are building up this image of a demigod and I'm beginning to think that the "cult of personality" accusations are more accurate than I originally thought.

How does a new energy policy and higher CAFE standards help the country not being able to afford our addiction to oil over a 4 year span? I mean, that was a really awkward turn of phrase. He seems to think we can end our addiction to oil and get everyone driving hybrids in less than 4 years.
I don't think there's any short-term solution that will help us afford our addiction to oil, and the long-term ones mostly involve us being addicted to something else. But it's a start.

GAF overdoes it but just because he is an inspiring speaker doesn't mean he'll be a bad president.

Definitely the most energetic speech I think I've ever seen. Too amazing.
He is ON tonight. This is amazing. I thought he would be amazing tonight, but this might be his best speech yet. This is legendary.

God, everytime I post something, i just want to add more and more. Every time he opens his mouth he says something amazing.

If America doesn't elect this man... oooh

Obama's gotten better but you know perfectly well that Obama the speechmaker != Obama the debater.

and you should also be aware that Obama willingly restricted himself from attacking hillary clinton during debates (even when she did not return the favor) in the name of party unity. The message was always a positive one.

he has no such restrictions re: john mccain. Mccain is going to get torn UP.

You realize cheap cars won't disappear...

Er...the guy has the car already. If more people have more efficient cars, the demand will go down for gas and theoretically it'll get cheaper.

I'm excited because I agree with about 100% of his policies, and I genuinely believe he can accomplish what he promises.

This is a new feeling. And it's awesome

It was more due to having to split hairs on policy.

But he SAID that the country can't afford our addiction to oil over the next 4 years. His solution was higher CAFE standards and new cleaner technology. How does that help people over the next 4 years? It's a pretty basic question. All I'm hearing is a lot of pretty words but they often don't make sense. It sounds good so people like it.

It's no more "sickening" than a person supporting McCain a little bit.

Well, if you look past that, his entire message included the requirement that that type of research would create more jobs(well paying too -- that wouldn't/couldn't be outsourced), and thus would balance itself out. Pretty simple to put together, I thought.

I'll give you that as well. but you can't tell me there wasn't an unwillingness to air out bill and hillary's dirty laundry- because there's sure as hell plenty of it that he chose not to use.
