King_Slender said:I like that Obama talks about some guy in Pennsylvania that lost his job and can't afford the gas to goto get a new job - then follows it up with saying automakers need higher fuel standards (which will equate to more expensive cars) - yes, a guy without a job needs a more expensive car!:lol
I can't believe people are clueless enough to not look past his Tiger Woods smile and see the bullshit he talks about.

Gaborn said:Sorry, I just expect a little substance, Obama's got enough fluff, he's very good looking, he needs to show he has a concept of the real problems facing people, all I'm hearing is if you want cheaper gas by a hybrid, otherwise you're SOL.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
That isn't a little bit. That is worship.

They are completely accurate and anyway whop says otherwise is lying to themselves. Obama is an example of cult presidency but that doesn't make him a bad leader. Ronald Reagan was a cult leader,Kennedy(after death), MLK, Abraham Lincoln, etc etc. and they are remembered fondly.Absinthe said:I have no problem with people supporting Obama, and I even agree with him on certain things, but this constant fellating is pretty sickening. It's almost as if people are building up this image of a demigod and I'm beginning to think that the "cult of personality" accusations are more accurate than I originally thought.

Cult leaders aren't bad. If what they do is bad, and they are not opposed, then you should worry. Obama hasn't done anything except win in completely fair ways.
Though I do believe this type of thinking will hurt the country in the long run, right now that attitude is just wrong.
