scary thought came to my head which Gergen pointed out - Clinton really does seem to be pushing for a coalition government or, impossible as it is, dual-presidency ticket where the country can have two executives for the price of one. she's holding onto her delegates for a reason, and that long-winded restatement of her platform and desire to work for her constituents was telling.

Clinton proved in that one speech not to have the ability to retire her ego and take defeat gracefully. seriously, if Obama picks her for his VP it'd be really, really stupid.

My mother left the living room when Obama came out to speak. She can't stand him and is a Hillary supporter. I just lol'd. :lol :lol

Similar thing happened to me.I left the room to watch Obama's speech in another room since my mother, father and brother are all Clinton supporters and changed the channel as soon as he came on. Now my brother is in the next room showing them the video of that Pastor guy making fun of Clinton. They are so pissed off. :lol

This is the last thing we need and what makes me go ugh when I think of the public's perception of Obama. Do they not understand that this guy isn't even his pastor (btw he's actually a minister and he got suspended), and Obama has nothing to do with him?

Man this is like those crazy Gaming threads when a little rumor trickles out and three posts later people start thinking if they delete an Arcade game, it's gone forever.

This decision will NOT be made any time soon and by the time it is, Clinton will be little more than the tiny painter painting secret messages in microdots for The Monarch to send to Henchmens 21 and 24.

Yep, I now completely regret even mentioning it. Feel like a total jackass as a result. I should've gone with my gut instinct. She's only in it for her damn self.

Hilary just can't accept that she'll now be getting ignored so she's staging this resistance and refusal to exit the race so she can stay in the media limelight. She loves the attention and can't accept that she will no longer be the story.

Want to bet that Hilary wont be gone from the race after this week? I strongly believe that Hilary takes this entire thing extremely personally and resents the notion of him becoming President and getting all the attention when she won't.

Fineman says Clinton doesn't want the VP slot and more than likely just wants her props for what she accomplished. And of course (correctly) points out that the VP slot is not the silver medal. It's a job most people don't want because you basically are at the mercy of the president and have no power of your own.

Earlier, Chris Matthews was talking about how when Dubya was at his inauguration, the Clintons were somewhere giving speeches. They are all rotten.

Clinton said tonight she wants to take some time before making decisions and encouraged her supporters to e-mail their views. If they do, that would increase her bargaining clout with Obama over her future role in the campaign.

Several people close to her say she does want to be asked to be on the ticket -- and would like to run as vice president.

They say she would need to sit down with Obama in private and assess his level of interest, but tonight Howard Wolfson says that will not happen tomorrow.

She will be consulting supporters and party leaders first, as she decides how to proceed.

Clinton will definitely stay in DC tomorrow. No plan to go to New York. And there are no planned meetings with DNC Chairman Howard Dean, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi or Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Hey, it's better than Pat Buchanan!
Tucker Carlson is not better than anything.
As much as I hate Buchanan at least he did something in his life, at least he is a meaningful political figure.
Carlson is a waste of space.

Obama is likely to not pick her, but it's obvious that Clinton's speech tonight was very strategic, and the tea leaves aren't that hard to read.

McCain should win by a wide margin 5%. I am calling it.

Just in case:
If the democrats win this one well there is a reason I just changed my gun buying habits to stacking up on certain guns/high mag clips that would be banned shortly afterwards.

5%? Really? I think it's possible that McCain will win, although I don't think he can do it on his own merits, but I can't see how it could be by such a wide margin. What does your electoral map look like?

I just want to smack her when she keeps saying that "I want" crap. It's all about her.

That speech tonight was about one thing and one thing only. She's angry about the voters that caused her to lose and she's trying to punish those voters by not allowing them to complete get what they want -- for her to get the hell out of the race and allow the candidate they give 2 shits about to continue on to complete what he set out to do.

She's acting like a spoil child that is desperately trying to remain relevant. What she doesn't understand is nobody wants to hear what the hell she supposedly stands for when she doesn't at least have the decency to concede that Obama is now the party's nominee and when she doesn't have the decency to stop undermining Obama by continuing to spout her crap from the highest mountain about how she's the superior candidate, nobody can take her serious. Too bad the rest of the Country didn't agree with her pitiful argument.

I get the feeling this mysterious Michelle Obama tape shows up tomorrow.

I liked watching his show the last few months it was on, but lately he's really been annoying me.

I get the feeling if it's as ridiculous as everyone says, it won't be shown even if there is a tape. Which I don't think there is. Then again, yesterday I said it was "as real as Obama's flood of superdelegates" so who knows.

Also, wow, CNN really does have a hardon for the Obama/Clinton ticket. They are trying to use the exit polls--which are unlikely to be accurate even a week from now--to suggest that Obama has no chance without her.

Nico: I wouldn't really trust that guy's advice on elections. He suggests McCain get Lieberman as his running mate.:lol

from the article you posted -

Meanwhile McCain as a 5 should be a shoe in to be our next President. The American people are not going to elect a radical extremist to be President. They are not going to install as Commander In Chief of our armed forces a person who hates America.
that's the premise you're basing this on? really? and you're a political science major in an accredited university?

really?

Pretty confident McCain will win but JUST IN CASE he's gonna stock up on much needed potentially soon-to-be-banned gun stuff! How confident are you again :lol

The site (which is not exactly objective) claims that the reason the Democrats will not win is that "the far left has a stranglehold on the party." But at this point people are tired of the far right, which is what McCain has become since he caved to Bush, and which is what Obama will be able to effectively paint him as in the general election. Even if he doesn't, there's still no real reason to expect a 5% win.

Looks like Montana is going to put a cap on Clinton's popular vote argument(depending on which numbers you selectively use of course).
