From Sullivan's blog:

She invited comments. But you can't actually ask her to quit. The email form on her website begins:

“I’m with you Hillary, and I am proud of everything we are fighting for.”

I chose the "contact us" option and gave her a "suggestion", which read something like, "Please ask Hillary to concede, the American people can't take another four years of McCain."

Daily Kos followed up a bit on the HillaryClinton.com thing:

DailyKos said:
So Clinton, in her speech, once again mentioned the URL of her website, while the URL was all over her podium.

You go to her website, and you're met with a petition they're asking visitors to sign:

I'm with you Hillary and I'm proud of everything we are fighting for.

If you "sign" it, does it go to a "thank you" page? Of course not. It goes straight to her contribute page.

Money. That's why she's staying in. To squeeze her hardest core supporters of the cash necessary to pay off her personal loans to her campaign.

Here in mid-Michigan, they keep showing McCain's "accountable" commercial... you know, the one with the woman in the Obama shirt near the end.

I wonder if there's any law that prevents ppl from running for president as well as running for vice president.

Which platform would u guys vote for?

McCain/Obama, or Obama/McCain?

I think that'll be funny

If there were no such law we could also have the Obama/Obama ticket, couldn't we? I think that is probably what GAF would prefer anyway.

What about like Obama from 10 minutes into the future and Obama from right now? Imagine the awesome policy foresight!

We conservatives would GLADLY give you McCain and let us pick over again.

this thread has slowed down a lot... i guess people are out rioting in the streets chanting DENVER or in a drunken stupor after celebrating Obama's victory

From the minute she mentioned it I knew she was really just fishing for donations. That is pretty low though since she knows damn well she will concede

Also, where the hell does she come off bragging about taking money from an 11 year old kid who sold all of his toys to donate to her failed run? she should be ashamed

Hard to tell sometimes. She fell in love with the idea of Obama pretty early on, and then the Wright stuff, the closeted Muslim stuff, and his "obvious communist views" tanked him once again in her eyes, where he's simmered ever since. I try, but I can't get her to stop listening and cheering conservative radio. She longs for the "good old days".

But tonight she called me to let me know how much Obama's speech tonight affected her to her core. I loved it myself, but it didn't hit me with nearly the force that it bowled her over with. I'm pretty damn shocked right now...

I think it was a double effect honestly - watching Obama's speech is one thing, but watching it after seeing McCain's just doubles the impact. These two candidates couldn't be any more different from each other.

this is THE CLINTONS you are talking about

....and holy shit, John McCain. Absolutely brutal. Any doubt I had that Obama would wipe the general election with this guy was erased tonight. The optics were just flat_out_awful. What the hell were they thinking? At least get a sizeable crowd in there who know when to cheer, laugh, and boo on cue. Yikes.

Hillary Clinton's speech: meh. She's done. Everyone knows it.

Obama: Great stuff, as usual. Let's get the general started! Fired up!

I really liked how Obama hit McCain on the trip to Iraq angle he's been playing up.

That's exactly how you deflect such attacks. Don't allow him to decide what the debate will be about.

I love the acknowledgments from Obama as well with things like being aware of his own limitations or understands that there aren't many good options in Iraq, but then to come out with such force in reiterating the need regardless to get the troops out of there.

Really nicely done all around.
