Some fans aren't too pleased with her.

Personally, I don't really mind Lady Gaga's costumes most of the time. But I do think there needs to be a balance, and I'd say midway through The Fame Monster era she started losing that balance. Call if performance art if you want, but Lady Gaga shouldn't just be about the costumes she's wearing. It takes away from her talent and artistry and makes her a gimmick. People eventually get tired of gimmicks.
She doesn't have to go back to debut looks, but I think she needs to think about what made those styles so popular for her.

But when she started getting caught up in over-elaborate costumes that she needed to be helped in and out of (I'll never forgive her for that ridiculous fucking dress she wore while performing "So Happy I Could Die" during the Monster Ball) , and performing in what looked like "day three" panties with blood smeared all over her, it became too much, and actually distracted from who she is as an artist.
Nowadays the only people who want to imitate her are drag queens.

Do people honestly still expect every MV to match the song? Stopped caring a decade ago
What the hell? I can see why the homosexual community would flock to it that way, but it's not as if the song doesn't mean different things to different people. Especially since the intent of the song isn't inherently about or for the struggles of the gay community. In fact, it's because the song is so well known and diversely used that I am still a bit confused as to why it's a gay anthem....but this isn't me saying it isn't a gay anthem.
I didn't say SOTR wasn't a gay anthem, I said I didn't know it was. And I didn't associate Believe with being a gay anthem because my perspective on what makes a gay anthem is different from what others believe. Even looking at this thread it is clear that the term "gay anthem" seems flexible, and that's coming from the comments of your gay sisters.
And I think straight people speak like that cause we have so much privilege.

Well, in Ms. Bank's defense people are checking for her. Two BET award nominations and headlining several popular venues without an actual album is pretty impressive. If she wasn't clowning on twitter and delaying shit I'd have a higher opinion of her. I think Azealia has an actual niche to grow into vs Iggy.

And as Trigger pointed out, Azealia continues to headline in big venues all over Europe, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, etc.
