I was just like you when the song was released like 4 months ago.

And then one day, on a sunny afternoon, my iTunes played it on shuffle and it just clicked. I don't know, it all made sense. The production is great (love the bass and also the hook with violins), the chorus is catchy, and her flow is cute. I don't know, it's just a cool song.

Quite shallow, nothing too fancy, but nice to listen to.

artRave was amazing, I had a blast.

I think I got wristband #260~? Boston's venue does a wristband system for GA, so I was pretty close to the front of the line for GA. I wasn't a fan of Crayon Pop (don't like k-pop), and Starlight was on stage for way too long. Monsturds did not seem impressed by either.

Anyways, onto Gaga. The stage was beautiful. I wasn't really impressed when I saw mockups/photos, but when I saw it in person it was really cool. I decided to stand right around the lounge area as suggested by that picture. There definitely isn't a perfect place in GA lol, no matter where you were you wouldn't be able to see everything. However she was really close to me during a lot of the show. One of my friends moved up towards the middle when we couldn't see her and ended up grabbing (I can't think of a better word lol) her when she did Manicure.

The faster songs like GUY, Manicure, Donatella, Just Dance, Poker Face, Telephone, etc were definitely better since the crowd could get into them and they fit the "Rave" theme. Alejandro, DWUW, and Paparazzi were nice, but people weren't really sure what to do during them lol. I enjoyed GUY, Manicure, and Gypsy the most. The energy from Gaga + the crowd was awesome, everyone was always jumping and looked like they were having fun. I was surprised to see people who had seats dancing too. I only had a couple small gripes with the concert. You can tell Gaga has toned down choreography a lot after the hip injury, it doesn't really take away from the show but it is noticeable.

I went with a two big Gaga fans, and two people who are just kind of casual fans. Everyone was really really really impressed and thought it was great. I loved the whole thing.

I'm pretty bad with these big write ups, so if someone wants specifics on something just ask.

edit: also people who stay on their phones taking pictures of the concert the whole time are the worst.

I'm so excited... the only time I saw her live was when she did this tiny little gig here in Austin called Second Chance Prom, and it was right around when LoveGame was on the radio. She was in this glittery bodysuit with ha short blonde bangs and ha disco stick. She was electrifying, and I touched her hand when she walked off the stage. Can't wait for the live sequel.

Glad to hear you had fun Poker Face... the set looks like it's a far cry from the Born This Way Ball as far as cohesion goes but having skipped out on that completely there will be nothing for me to compare it to, lol. I'll give my impressions after the fact, along with some pics hopefully.

Lucky you! I only saw Gaga once live, it was during the summer of 2009. The Fame Monster wasn't even out (neither was Bad Romance). It was at the Olympia, which is a medium-sized venue, way smaller than Bercy where she's now always performing every time she comes in Paris.

Kinda reminds me of when I saw Rihanna opening for The Pussycat Dolls in 2006. How the tables have turned, haha.

First time I saw Gaga, she did the entire Fame Ball as an opening act for The Pussycat Dolls. Her show was more elaborate and interesting than the Pussycat Dolls. About 3/4 of the arena left after Gaga was done, lol

Can you describe what you would feel if you were sitting in the ARTPOP Zone? Sometimes I think it feels too far away from the stage. Can you even see those people? I can't really imagine how elevated the stage is.

The way it was setup in Boston made them look really bad. I originally thought the ARTPOP Zone was elevated to be the same height as the stage, but it was almost at the same level of GA, maybe a couple inches higher. I stood right around the little opening near the ARTPOP Zone in this picture and had a hard time seeing the main stage (one of the runways blocked my view).

I would just go into GA for most of it and head back to ARTPOP Zone for BTW if that's possible.

I've never been to a concert cuz none of my faves ever come here, but Gaga finally came to my mediocre city up here in Canada in May which I never thought she would, and by the time I was set to get tickets, they were going for $475 each for the few seats that were left that plus the huge car repair bill that came out of nowhere at the same time = couldn't be worse timing. Hopefully she comes back to Winnipeg for Artrave 2.0 or whatever her next era will be.
