There's no denying that the girl was completely talentless (and clueless - I mean, just watch this clip! OMG!!!), but still, I find the entire Nadia Oh project fascinating.
Fun facts:
-Both Hot Like Wow and Colors were basically vanity projects for Space Cowboy. He wrote and produced every song.
-Jam Sutton, who directed Azealia Banks' Yung Rapunxel, also directed Nadia Oh's first music videos (My Egyptian Lover, N.A.D.I.A. O.H.). If I had to guess, he's not exactly proud of his work since there's no mention of that on his Wikipedia page.

I agree I found it so stupid that she said EH was an "ironic pop album" and then she did all of those things. She was also massively focused on America (she had 2 legs there ffs) despite talking about how EH was a parody of American culture.

I've spent this past morning looking at the discographies of legend artists like Madonna, Prince, Kate Bush etc etc. and how far into their careers they released their magnum opus, debatably with Ray of Light and Hounds of Love and so on, and it made me wonder if any of the pop galz of 2014 are close to approaching their own Ray of Light's and such
My initial thought was Adele with 21, considering it's global success and appeal but I guess equating mass success and appeal with quality isn't necessarily true but considering how early she is into her career it seems pretty feasible for her to top her previous efforts. Another was Britney with Blackout considering the overreaching influence she has had in pop culture was I think was cemented with Blackout... but again considering she's just signed onto RCA again and she seems pretty content with her residency and working at her own pace, I still think she has a Ray of Light in the future
Although not as critically appreciated as the above mentioned, I think Rihanna has a good shot of being close to releasing something akin to a 21st century pop masterpiece as it becomes more evident that she exerts more and more control over the direction she takes her music and image

I think Marina's biggest detractor is that her voice is far too interesting and acrobatic to think she can sing over some generic dance-pop and hope it works out. the #quirky and #indie sound of the family jewels complemented her vocal talent that electra heart didn't quite capture, imo
