It's also worth noting that the PSP case and backpack are totally overpriced and stupid!

The pricing makes no sense ... some stuff is "expensive, but within reason for nice things." Others are "OMFG you want me to pay WHAT"

I must be the only person who thinks the sleeve you get with the PSP value pack is great. :) Because nothing I've seen yet looks more convenient nor subtle than that pack-in...

It scratches the screen. Soon as I figured that out, I stopped using it.

The Koei case is quite nice. I suppose it's not so convenient if you want to use your PSP for music, but for someone like me -- who would rather carry three or four games, headphones and a spare battery pack everywhere I go -- it's pretty much perfect.

How does it scratch the screen? My screen has tiny scratches that go up and down the screen because I was dumb enough to wipe dust off the screen with my fingers the first few days I got it. It's only something you see if you hold the PSP at a certain angle in the light. But I use my value pack sleeve all the time and I never got scratches that go width wise on the screen, suggesting that the sleeve doesn't scratch the screen. Plus, you'd think I'd be getting scratches all the time because I use it so much. But I still just have the initial 3 or 4 up and down scratches.

Those scratches are probably caused by pulling the PSP out of the value case, not your finger. Unless you have a million tiny splinters in your finger.

I still use the value pack case as it's convenient, but that's only because I have a screen protector on.

john tv; any pictures of the Koei case? I've heard about it, not seen anywhere I can get one though.

Not splinters on my finger, but if I tried brushing away "dust" and it turned out to be a hard particle, I could see how it would scratch the screen. Which might be how the value case scratches the screen as well (since it rubs on the screen when you pull it out or put it in).
