I imagine this will be harped on in the next debate, but the only thing really said about Global warming is that trump said he doesn't consider it a great threat unlike Hillary.

lol, what a moron. That's not something you say outloud.

Well, I, too, think that we got to be tougher on cyber. We need the best cyber, like the ones in countries such as Qatar.

His exporting of jobs is not an effective attack point because he's already demonstrated that as a businessman, all he cares about are profits. He argues that he would implement huge tax cuts on businesses so they do bring back those factory jobs, which probably includes his parts of business too, no need to press further as you can see his rebuttal.
Have corporate tax cuts actually been shown to generate more jobs?

The point is, Donald's rhetoric on trade deals (because I don't think he would actually implement any changes that stray from the GOP line) is better than Hillary's.

I sure hope it gets better.

'Trump'd up trickle-down' delivery was cringeworthy.

This was the moment for me where I decided I disliked her as much as I think Trump is a buffoon. It was a real 'ruling class superiority' moment and it wasn't flattering. Trump was actually worse than I expected, that personal business/debt issue is going to keep on harpooning him.

I want to know if she was actually writing things on that pad or just doodling for effect.

Pence vs. Kaine for the IC belt is gonna be a snoozer but I look forward to Kaine driving up his Dad brand stock value.

I think he makes at least two Dad jokes.

The delivery on the line wasn't great - as though she wavered for a second on if she should say it. But Trickle-Down Economics has been pretty-comprehensively destroyed as an economic policy, so as a statement - "trumped-up trickle-down economics" - it's actually quite accurate.

I liked the part where he talked about Qatar's airports being so much better than ours.

I, too, wish this country had modern facilities built by slave labor.

Really the only thing that surprised me is that Trump didn't nickname Clinton to death. Was expecting a repeat of Little Marco, Lyin Ted, etc.

That would be a one way ticket to screw himself even more though. He was probably advised, repeatedly, to not do it at these events.

So the way I see it Trump kind of won. Hillary performed better but she was expected to perform better because she isn't batshit insane. Trump on the other hand did better than expected, which if you are undecided(how the hell are you undecided) might make you think he isn't a complete moron like others would have you believe (spoiler alert: he is)

So on the job of convincing those in the middle...
Every objective measure we have so far says Clinton won.

Trump didn't even clear the extremely low bar almost everyone had set for him.

I think this debate can't really be analysed as a normal debate. Of course, by every margin, Trump lost. I mean, he can't even conjure up a grammatically correct sentence half the time. He lied, was rude, admitted to being a scumbag who uses law loopholes for profit and behaved like a 5 year old at times. I mean, of course he didn't won the debate as a debate.

But this behavior is what got him here. The whole "politicians suck" speech, the racist remarks, the fear of China. Clinton was very reasonable and eloquent but how many people want that vs the ones that hate Trump? I mean, the fact that were even tied in the polls going in is insane.

I hope people listen to reason but at this point I don't know.

Nah, with all the noise of Trump 'being unconventional', most indications are actually showing a very predictable race so far. It has been remarkably stable and the numbers bear this out. Things are all mostly falling into their respective places considering both actors and other factors in this election cycle.

About an hour in, this is no fun at all.

Trump: we're losing jobs and businesses out the wazoo and you've been a part of it for 30 years!
Clinton: *Smiling serenely while queuing up stock political response on how she's gonna do better this time*
Trump: thousands of people shot in Chicago alone!
Clinton: Turn that frown upside down, it's not so bad. Also, we should have a discussion.
Clinton: Where are your tax returns?
Trump: *throws smoke bomb*
Clinton: You're obviously a racist and a giant asshole besides.
Trump: Yea, but I settled it so I didn't have to admit any guilt. Also, Obama is gonna thank me any day now for that birther thing.
Lester Holt: Let's talk about hacking!

Is there a good concise source for this? Need to post on a Facebook argument, unfortunately

cnn and ppp did a poll afterward and it registered pretty firmly as a clinton victory. 35 point win in the cnn poll and 11 point win in the ppp poll and over 50% on both.

cnn also had a group of 20 undecideds in florida watching the debate and 18 of them said clinton won. on every major news channel it was basically registered as a clinton win.

it's pretty unanimous that trump lost big time. i don't think there are going to be more undecideds breaking for his rambling incoherent replies.

Says who?

I'm...not entirely clear on how a contempt for trickle-down economics constitutes a "ruling class superiority" moment.

It was a clumsy line, but come on.

Were you not paying attention? She wasn't smiling and saying "we're going to be better this time!" She outlined a pretty progressive and clear path towards job creation by embracing new industry. She even gave specific examples. If all you parsed from that was "we're going to try better" then that just tells me you have absolutely no opinion on future markets.

What do you think Clinton's biggest hit on Trump was?

He seemed most surprised and shocked by the mention of Alicia Machado. I would have loved to see that conversation go further.

It's hard to name just one hit, it really is. Her "11 hour" quip about the stamina was pretty great.

We got polls on the people in the middle already. Landslides for Clinton. They clearly saw a different debate than you did, lol.

Trumps federal taxes. You'll be hearing about that until November and probably a little bit after.

Well, it's from Clinton News Network so go figure. Also, what has science ever done for us. All the internet polls, where the real people vote, have Trump winning over Clinton.

It's even funnier when you read it in Hawking's Futurama voice

Just started the debate. 10 minutes in. Who are the knuckleheads saying Trump started strong? This buffoon hasn't said shit.

He didn't start strong at all. He just started less crazy then usual.

I like that one because when the transcripts of his Trump University disposition, he was questioned as to who he knew, he started whining passive aggressively after what couldn't be more than 5-10 minutes of interrogation?

Q.· · ·Mr. Trump, you're the one who wants
to get through this quickly.· Just answer the
questions and we'll get through it quickly.
· · · A.· · ·You're not going to get anything
through quickly.· You don't want to get anything
through quickly.

"I have a winning temperament, I know how to win, she doesn't!"

That's probably my favourite Trump line, although the my 10 year old son has computers and he's so good, was pretty neat too.

Anybody made a remake of the Depeche Mode song "wrong" with Trumps voice yet? Could be good.

Yeah, thinking back, this is probably her best attack of the night. She actually got him to basically admit he doesn't pay taxes because he uses loopholes for the rich. That's pretty infuriating.

Guys the point of that trumped up line wasn't to be clever, it was solely to fuck with trump. Watch his reaction to the use of his name, his brand. Watch the whole debate again from the beginning. I've been pissing myself with worry for a week on this debate, and after the first question, I took a breath and realised she was in it. She is psychologically fucking with him just with her word usage. When she gets to his 14 million dollar loan, he's primed to meltdown. I felt like I was watching a teenage Mike Tyson fight, but he was allowed to beat on his opponent for more than a minute.

I think Trump said it best himself. "I'm a businessperson". Not a politician. I like how he was convinced Isis formed due to Obama and not in 1999. Shit he could even pin that on Bill if he wanted to, but he goes after Obama. Top class idiot, that one.

Really appreciated this Hillary line: "He loves beauty contests, supporting them...hanging around them."

Great little subtle dig there, made me chuckle.
