Watching CNN, the tax thing seems to be resonating the most. I know I am legitimately pissed that he's using these loopholes. Fuck that asshole.

This guy put on a shit eating grin when discussing stiffing people in business deals, avoiding taxes, betting on the housing crisis, and openly practicing housing discrimination. He also lied about the success of Stop & Frisk and advocated its use on a wider basis.

What's not to like?

I just can't understand the mindset of the working class Trump voter. I mean yeah if your a rich guy I can understand it because he wants to cut your taxes but where is the benefit for the little guy in voting for Trump? Here is a guy who talks about how bad the economy is, all the while blatantly admitting tax evasion because he's "smart". He also has no issues admitting he benefited from the global financial collapse. It's like voting for Mr Burns. He's a cartoon villain.

the most recent tweet from nate is an assumption that clinton gains 2-4% as per historical averages since 1984 anyway.

yeah, we won't know for sure at least for another day or two what's starting to stick, though.

It'd be interesting to see how the swing states go.

True or not, the emotion behind the trade deal rhetoric is strong among working class people who are out of work. Bernie used this to his advantage as well.

It breaks my heart to see someone as accomplished and experienced as Hilary Clinton having to spend even as second debating a person like Donald Trump.

This is unreal. Just look at these two people and who different they are. How can anyone rational even think about being undecided between these two people? I mean what the hell.

He's the 'escape route other'.

'My life is shitty right now and there are policies that make my life more shitty. There needs to be a change. Vote Trump!'

Trump is claiming on Fox News that his microphone was sabotaged.

I think he said that right after the debate finished.

Hilarious.

Trump saying his mic was sabotaged is just him trying to cover for his knack of repeating himself all the time and looking like a moron while doing so.

expect him to use the same excuse next time as well.

I think it's his excuse for being really, really inarticulate. Like just look at the Buzzfeed select quotes on the 'inspirational pics'. Half of them flat-out don't make sense or break meaning.

If only we had better cyber.

Precisely

The loopholes shouldn't be there, but if they are there, wouldn't any smart business man use them?

Keep in mind that (legally) minimizing your tax burden isn't "tax evasion", it's just good business practice. For public companies (like the oft-cited GE), it's part of the financial wizardry that keeps their earnings in line with estimates and thus protects their share price.

High corporate taxes are red meat to liberals who want companies to pay their "fair share", but those lawmakers are willfully ignorant of the fact that the finance teams within these companies are smarter than they are in this arena, and *will* find ways to manipulate a complex tax code to pay little to nothing in taxes on billions in earnings.

Meanwhile, the small business owner doesn't have access to those resources, and shoulders a disproportionate burden.

Maybe a moral obligation if you see yourself as one to "make america great again"??

If your campaign is contingent on this idea that you are above the corrupt sociopolitical workings of our world because you're so rich that money becomes meaningless to you, you better be above using said loopholes at the expense of the nation you supposedly care so much about.

This is Trump we're taking about though.
