Us eurotrash finally got the Siren space and it's definitely creepy as hell. Soundscape consists of Shibito panting/screaming/crying and the visuals in the space capture the feeling in Siren: Blood Curse pretty well.

Didn't get to do the hospital survival run thing yet though. Maybe we should get together and try to do it if people are interested.

Film grain and guys in rabbit suits, it's like Donnie Darko. :O

Siren is probably the best Home space. The multiplayer haunted trip is excellent!

I was just browsing home the other day in the Central area where the music plays and they had the entire Jak and Daxter OST playing and also the MAG OST. It was pretty awesome.

New in PlayStation Home: SOCOM’s Golden AK-47, Monkey Island Space & Items, and Gamer’s Lounge Refresh

Early in the history of PlayStation Home, leading developers embraced the platform as a means to expand players’ gaming experiences via content that unlocked in-world after certain performance milestones were reached in-game. The PlayStation 3 community reacted very positively to this type of game integration, rushing into PlayStation Home to gather rewards from games such as Batman: Arkham Asylum, Street Fighter IV, Mega Man 10, White Knight Chronicles, Tekken 6, Resident Evil 5, PixelJunk Shooter, and many more.

Tomorrow, April 15th, we take the next step in the evolution of the platform with the release of the SOCOM OPFOR game space, which will allow fans of the franchise to assemble an assault weapon in a PlayStation Home mini-game and then load out into SOCOM: Confrontation with a fully-playable Golden AK-47 – an exclusive weapon only available to the most skilled players who can successfully complete the aforementioned mini-game in 12 seconds or less. Associate Producer KC Coleman had this to say about this landmark event in PlayStation Home history:

The ability [for PlayStation Home users] to unlock the Golden AK-47 in SOCOM: Confrontation is a huge step forward for Home as a platform and for the fans of the PS3 in general. We’ve long prided ourselves on being able to expand the experience of favorite PS3 titles by creating complementary content in Home, but this is the first time we’ve brought that experience back around to the disc game.

It’s truly a win-win-win situation. It’s a win for Home because we have opened up a huge door that will allow developers to continue to blur the line between PlayStation Home and PS3 games. It’s a win for SOCOM: Confrontation as a title because it allows them to continue to offer great content to players. And, of course, it’s a win for the millions of fans of Home and SOCOM: Confrontation because they get exclusive, meaningful, and 100% free content that is unlocked not from merely downloading an expansion pack, but by playing a fun game.

In addition to the Golden AK-47 Assembly game, the SOCOM OPFOR space boasts the highly-addictive 5-Finger Fillet mini-game and leaderboards. Check out this video for a fly-through of this new space and some of the thrilling content that resides within.

Our friends over at LucasArts continue to bring tons of awesome content to their throngs of fans in PlayStation Home. This week will see the introduction of the hugely-popular Monkey Island franchise into the ever-growing world of PlayStation Home. Show your affinity for our hapless hero Guybrush Peepwood…err, I mean Threepwillow…err, I mean, Threepwood, by heading to the PlayStation Home Mall this Thursday and picking up the has-to-be-seen-to-be-believed Ghost Pirate Ship personal space (complete with rewards), the tons of associated furniture items (available in massive bundles at reduced prices), and the array of Monkey Island costumes (LeChuck, Elaine Marley, Stan the Salesman, and, of course, Mr. Fancy Pants himself).

Also releasing (or should I say, re-releasing) this week is the new and improved Gamer’s Lounge. Named by the PlayStation Home community, for the PlayStation Home community, the Gamer’s Lounge has been redesigned completely at the behest and request of our most loyal users. We’ve added music, a Liar’s Dice mini-game, a ticker that pulls directly from the official PlayStation Twitter account (so you can stay up to date with all of the official PlayStation news without having to log out of PlayStation Home), and a survey that rewards participants with a special virtual item.

The Gamer’s Lounge will now host our daily Featured Game parties, which have previously been held at the Listen@Home kiosk in Central Plaza. These daily events serve as a rallying point for the PlayStation Home community to meet up with friends new and old and launch into the latest and greatest PS3 and PSN titles. For the unveiling of the new and improved Gamer’s Lounge, we will be challenging one another to multiplayer matches of UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves. Come out on launch night between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00pm PT (7:00pm and 11:00pm EST) to take part in some UNCHARTED 2 action, and then come back over the weekend to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, MLB 10: The Show, and Aliens vs. Predator.

See you in Home!

If only they advertised this stuff more prominently, I'd fire it up to listen to the Jak and Daxter OST.

Not sure if these were going around already on GAF (or if anyone cares :lol ) but here's the "legs of a spring fever bee and flower costumes" for Home. You use it be going to 'Redeem Codes' in the PSN store.

>>Code<<

Is it reusable? If not, you might want to take it out of your post and give it someone that is willing to use it over lurkers... *cough*

Since this got bumped, Home will propably have some decent E3 buzz according to the Playstation forums.

So as you all know, E3 is coming up in June and is a huge event for the gaming industry and it's a big deal for PlayStation Home as well. Those of you who were with us last year may recall that we gave away "There's No Place Like Home" t-shirts in about 10 different colors and you had to be in Home to get them all! We also showed videos from E3 in Home with actual interviews with the PS Blog staff and industry professionals LIVE at E3!

Exciting stuff....well, this year we have even more in store for you. We want to do something similar with collectible rewards like last year's t-shirts. We have several different ideas but want YOUR input on what you'd find most appealing....without revealing all the aces up our sleeves yet, of course.

I really wish they would stream the conference live and hold a proper event for it.

They are no reausable. And the code is already no good, just tried it. But you are right, for the future, post those in the free to a good home thread.

As to E3, I liked how they had it running a few times after it was live so people could watch. Plus you could download it from the PSN to watch at your own leisure.

I also want it to be live, it would be fun and a cool thing for Home. Another cool thing would be a jukebox type device to watch just whatever trailer you want in Home. Sort of like the Singstar music video picker, but for E3 trailers and announcements.

People have been hoping for this sort of thing from the start. I wonder if the likely increase in Home load makes them think it's not a good idea?

Anyway, I doubt we'll get it... despite all the other things Home has gone for/is doing events should be key.

For US/EU Home users:

Not sure many Home fans know about this small glitch to get some free items that were removed or not possible to get via the Home Mall. (Killzone Helghast Avatar preorder item)

Ok so before we begin, I would suggest changing your password/removing CC info when accessing these links from your PS3. Im sure nothing happens when you access the links from your PS3 but just to be on the safe side since some think by clicking the links, you give your info away or something.

Instructions:
Visit this page(any one from below) with your PS3 internet browser.
Press the Select button to bookmark the page.
Click / Press X on the item you wish to get in PShome.
When it requests to close the browser, Choose yes, And thats it!
To get more, Just open the PS3 internet browser again and pick the page from your favorites!
Enjoy.

This is awesome, thanks!

The Killzone Gloves on the first link didn't work for me. Gave me an error.

No need to worry about the sites, all these are just PSN store links in bare HTML. Nothing malicious. At least this applies to the first one. I just saved the page locally on my computer and uploaded it to my own web site so I could have my own copy to access.

Thanks again! Hope there's more out there.. I want the Helghast helmet and gloves now!

Edit: Aha! Looks like the first site has a typo for the URL. It has 001 at the end when it should be 01.

cool, glad someone got some use out of it. I collected most of the free stuff when it came out but great for those that missed them.

Shameless double post!

Cool little interview with Home's creative producer.

What new features (that you can speak of) are you most excited about coming to Home?

Recently we added several new features to the Home Development Kit which allow developers to enhance their games in Home. One of my favourites is custom animations, so, for example, a developer can build a futuristic environment and every player could be a different type of robot, all having their own distinctive animations. The possibilities are endless.

Some of the new custom animations that come with costumes are cool, especially the hopping animation that comes with the bunny outfit. The alien costume should've had some sort of crawling animation. :D

Great, the old one is really boooring.

I guess I should update my PS3 soon, I refused to download the Linux killer firmware, just to see if Sony would offer an alternative, but it looks like they dont give a shit. :/

I'll just bump this thread.

Last night after having finished Mega Man 10 I recieved a T-shirt for my Home. Now, I had only downloaded Home but never tried it before but thought the concept of obtaining items through games sounds fun. Are there more games that lets you unlock things or is this just one of those few rare games that have this feature?

Killzone items don't work for me (:( I want the helmet), but the rest of them do. Missed a few items, so thanks for clearing that out.

Like the trophies this should be mandatory, srsly.

I found it intresting. Made me actually log in and equip the T-shirt. I even now have my apartment and my avatar wearing the T-shirt as the background on the PS3. Heck, I even bought PJ: Shooter now. :)

Oh yeah! LBP finally coming to Home.

Big news earlier this week with the announcement of LittleBigPlanet 2! To celebrate the announcement, this week sees the arrival of the all new, and very colourful, LittleBigPlanet PlayGround space in PlayStation Home.

4601117830_97016a36a4.jpg

In true LittleBigPlanet fashion, this space offers plenty to play, create and share. Start with making a fashion statement with the range of LittleBigPlanet virtual clothing available in the Space, then take part in the King’s “Snap Happy” Photo Challenge. Find the target, get the perfect shot, and you can win some great virtual rewards. It doesn’t stop there: team up with your friends to create your own wallpapers for the PS3 XMB with the Creator mini-game!
And there’s more to come! In a few weeks you will be able to release your competitive side and show off your sharp-shooting skills in the LittleBigDerby.

Finally, no LittleBigPlanet experience would be complete without the iconic Pod … which is why you’ll find the LittleBigPlanet Pod Penthouse in Estates this week! Crafted from the finest cardboard, this personal space can be rotated to get the best out-of-this-world view! But not only that, the Pod also includes your own personal Creator mini-game and comes complete with a special prize on entry. This truly is the perfect place to express your creative flair.

Away from LittleBigPlanet, we have a range of new clothing, costumes and other items. Starting with the latest batch of LucasArts releases, this week sees new Star Wars costumes and items arrive. This week features an extensive range of The Force Unleashed content, starting with a pair of Felucian Potted Plants (Mushrooms and Tripod). Add to your lightsaber collection with the Blue Lightsaber, then decorate your personal space with the Jedi Banner, The Force Unleashed Poster, and an Interactive Yoda Fountain. Three new costumes will also be available: the Apprentice Costume (Hair and bundle to follow soon), Dark Lord’s Armor, and finally Juno Eclipse’s Uniform, Hair, and Gloves (bundle to follow soon).

Next up are the Dead Space 2 Miner costumes, available for both male and female. Complete from head to toe, these protective suits will keep you safe as you roam through Home. The LocoRoco stores update again this week. Two new hats, a pair of glasses and a pair of earrings will all be available. Finally, for those looking to deck their avatar out in a new shirt there is a range of new Bioshock t-shirts released this week.

That's a really hefty update for sure.

Very cool idea. Will have to play around with this stuff later.

LittleBigPlanet space is up! Seems like the European servers are under heavy stress though, the load is going slowly right now.

People need to check out the Modnation Racers space in Events Landing, the minigame is lots of fun, as well as the Little Big Planet space.

On a related note I actually bought(!) my first personal space in Home just to show my support to the awesome Media Molecule.

Here's a few pictures of the LBP space.

PlayStationHomePicture16-5-201019-2.jpg

PlayStationHomePicture16-5-20101-1.jpg

It has the oversized Dualshock3 which you can use to rotate the pod to get day/night cycle. :lol

It also has the wallpaper editor program that can also be found in the LBP space. It's basically just a popit with hundreds of images that you can stack and move back and forth.

Here's my stab at it.

PlayStation Home coming out of beta in december?

Speaking at the “Game in Scotland” event this week, Veemee’s Kirk Ewing mentioned an interesting statement. PlayStation Home will be finally leaving beta this December, which will mark 24 months since the private beta started in December 2008.

Veemee are the developers behind the London Pub, the V Shirt store and the Audi terminal, which is currently hosting an Iron Man campaign to promote the recent Iron Man 2 film.

Wonder why Sony isn't more proactive about getting region specific spaces up for everyone.

Also, how do you 'home hop' between regions?

I mean an Action RPG that uses your Avatar? Why isn't that already up everywhere? :lol

Has Sony updated their states for how many people actually use HOME and how much they are spending?
