It gives incentive to buy the camera, however little it may or may not be. Its causes no damage by including it, no costs, no risks. Why not?

Sounds like a good idea.... back when the camera was included. Now it seems silly to include it knowing you won't be able to get the full potential from it. And it's certainly not compelling enough to push people to buy the camera.

Seeing as it'll take a while to fill up that 500 gig hard drive (although I fullt expect to replace it within a year or two), it'd be awesome if Sony had all their f2p-titles preloaded on the console.

If rumors are to be believed, the camera was going to be included, but was taken out to hit the $399 price point.

Hope it's not on the hard drive. I was going to rip that puppy out for a 1 TB drive day zero.

I suggested this before and don't understand why it's not being done, they should have Planetside 2 pre-installed on the HDD since it's F2P anyways. That way they can claim they have a pack in title with their system and likely earn more sales as a result.

I'll be keeping my eyes out for a bundle with the Eye, I'm fully expecting the Move controllers to be used and a lot more acurate this generation.

Games like Tumble and Sports Champions showed how accurate the movement could be measured, but with the better camera and more raw power I'm looking forward to what they do with the Move this time around.

this looks amazing compared to what I've seen on kinect v1. Back to the EYETOY roots sony! I still prefer playing the EYETOY stuff on ps2 that kinect on x360.

This is as close as we will get to the awesome game demos the PS1 (and PS2 irrc) had. Why don't they do that anymore?

I remember getting the PS1 without games and I lived on the demo disc for two to three months. Kinda sad, I know.

I'll end up getting a PS4 eye sooner or later. I've ended up with four PS3 cameras buying The Eye of Judgement, various PS Move bundles and a separate camera in 2008.
