I think going by that one euro unboxing from somewhere, it's no 10, no PSN 4 weeks (or whatever it was in the US) and no Sony Music trial. We probably get a few days of PSN, that's it.

Thanks in advance for making the thread fellow GAFfer (unless we merge both of threads now that's Euro + NA released the PS4).
It seems that you already have the basic info for everything PS4 related so the only thing remaining would be some sort of "Have fun" message to all the Euro-GAFfers that waited as well for non Euro-GAFfers who might want to join the fun. I'm only saying this because every now and then a couple of threads that appear on GAF can bring the worst on some people, leading to cursing in many pointless ways, trolling, insulting other GAFfers only because a different opinion may happen and so on.
This thread, like the PS4 NA thread and the XB1 Waiting thread have seen some good and friendly interactions (aside from one or other time) which would be great to keep it that way so I'm wishing for the best thread filled by great GAFfers reporting in.

Just PS4. Can't afford a second console, certainly not one for 500 that has no exclusive games right now that I'm interested in.
i totally agree with everything you wrote, i totally like the friendliness in this thread and thats why i would love to have a euro ps4 ot. I would love to see the initial impressions of the people i waited 2 weeks with.
But lets see what the mods say

The more I think about it a separate PS4 EU thread could be quite useful. Is there a PS3 one?
Thinking long term, the SCEE PSN sales, PSN+ content discussion as well as a point of help for questions related to (EU) troubleshooting could be condensed down into one thread.

Hmm, This may question or topic could possibly do with a thread of its own but for us UK and likely alot of EU peeps.
Looking at the PS4 US Store and games going for $60, and on the UK store likely to be about £48 (going by amazon prices, PS4 UKstore still now up yet)
Is this going to be a future consideration for people, buying games on their US account? I mean, $60 = £37, thats £11 cheaper. Theres possibly issues with this.

I have always wanted all consoles, but the Wii-U didn't grab me at all, and the Xboxe One is not interesting at this point in time.

Still getting a PS4, although I'm not all that excited for it. It's going to be a while until it becomes my main system along with my PC.
The price for the Xbox One is inexcusable, no matter how good the launch games are. I also don't trust Microsoft to support the console with a strong string of exclusive titles in the coming years. Look at what happened with the 360.
Had a chance to check out DS4 at a demo stand in GAME today. Holy shit, this pad is so good... I mean, I've heard all the good impressions and I was hyped already, but I cannot believe how good it feels. I'm reasonably excited for a few games from the launch lineup and the hardware power bump is more than welcome, but DS4 definitely sits on the top of my personal 'best features of next gen' list.

Hey i wanted to ask a question for any spanish members. I pre ordered the console, killzone and ac4. Amazon shipped the 2 games so i am waiting for the console.
On the back of killzone it mentions that the game is playable in english but i cannot find such a mention in ac4. the box on the front side says totalmente en castellano. Does that mean that the game is only in spanish or that it has voice,subs etc if you wish ?
Would be pretty bad for me if its only in spanish since i do not speak the language. And i just opened the box. oi..

I know it's region free, but I'm just concerned that with some of the minor niggles with the system so far that there might end up being something off about the cross region mix and matching (Paranoia maybe, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask). Just I ordered a US version of Knack because it's £10 cheaper to order it from Play Asia than anywhere actually in the UK. Don't want to get caught out for cheapskating.

Knack is region 0, I've got 3 games (BF4, AC4 and Knack) all which have Region 0 on the back of the case. So hopefully they run fine. My biggest worry is if the DLC/Online passes work on European accounts.

Yeah, I figured DLC wouldn't be a worry with Knack at least, so it's the only PS4 title I felt comfortable 'experimenting' with.

I personally wouldn't risk buying from another region, I think they may clamp down on that as digital sales become the norm.
Re. pricing in general, I was planning to go all digital this gen, still hope too, but my plans have changed slightly.
Game prices are pretty steep from PSN, I can only see myself buying must haves titles, digitally, on day one, things like Gran Turismo. At launch, the only game that falls into this group is (possibly) Battlefield 4, given how much time I will spend with it.
For everything else, I'll be buying physical copies, if a game turns out to be a long-term keeper, I'll go the digital route, selling my disc based copy. For everything else, it's a case of waiting until they hit PS+, or a decent sale.
