PS4 official European waiting thread - come here and wait with us!

Well my wait for next gen games is over, fifa 14 arrived from Amazon today, but black mark for tesco as Assassins Creed never showed.

At least I have a game case to look at for a week

Let me begin with this: I don't intend to insult or misprize or accuse any nation or firm or anyone, also what am I going to say doesn't come from pure feelings or impressions. These are pure facts that many of you don't know.

It is not because you only live in USA or any other country that gets the premium stuff all the time that you must neglect the rest of the world, the misery of the rest of the world can reach you one day without even knowing it.

Firs of all read my previous coments (like I said to understand the situation). Here : gearnuke.com/is-europe-getting-made-japan-playstation-4/ and here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=720059&page=3

I know that most of the world products (if not all) are now being made in China (thanks to cheap working hands, workers can endure many hours of work, easy trades and commerce etc), and every device we use in life is nceassary and many of the goods made there are very good quality, noone can deny that. But in China , you know that, it happens to get bad quality goods, or counterfeits, (I don't imply that ALL Of chinese products or workers are bad - on the opposite I praised them because they are hard workers etc- and neither Japan nor America are better than the others, and bad things and many faulty can come from any advanced country or factory or firm).

I know that one word or preposition doesn't look or seem enough to make a fuss about FOR YOU Of course, since you don't know this:
You have to live in third wolrd countries (sorry I have to say that and we have to admit that they are really third world countries) or not so much under-developped ones (even advanced countries like France etc) who get many counterfeit products either legally or illegaly.

In those countries you get many counterfeits goods labelled with fake firm names that look like original ones, i.e Abibas, Somy, Rebok etc, Those are perfect examples of EXPLICIT counterfeits and frauds, even the products are just gimmicks and look nothing like the real deals nor does the price too. Ok, now we go to the the very intelligent but still stupid counterfiets; those look exteremely authentic, component by component even the box look the same, even the price is equivalent to th real ones. Many people may be mistaken and lured, just look at for example the Beats Headphones comparison videos between the real authentic ones, and the implicit wicked imitations (ofc there are stupid explicit counterfeits which don't count) everything is 1:1 the same except subtle differences like the shade of the box and other things within the device.

We come back to the third countries, especially the francophonic (French talking ones) and God Knows how many in the world, many of those countries get products something written on them in french: either : "Fabriqué "à" Japon" or "Fabriqué "en" Japon" like in our case here. All of them say WTF? why can't they spell it right?

Well I have a relative who worked as director in Sony Japan (he even brought me the PSX only released in Japan and not for the mass media, but that's another story), I asked him about why there are some Sony walkmens with fabriqué "en/à" Japon instead of fabriqué "au" Japon, I mean is that that his company doesn't know how to spell? So he showed me the same walkman fabriqué "AU" Japon (made in Japan, the real deal) and opened the two devices and compared the internal parts, and magically I saw many subtle differences between the two, one of those is a special capacitor only made in Japan counter to the one made in China in the subtle counterfeit product). He told me that Sony was facing many of those problems and they couldn't stop that train, noone can btw. It is like their mark or sign of warning (the wicked fraud company or factory) so you won't blame them later, like Tobacco cigaratte companies where they put "Smoking may damage you or is not good for your health" on the side of the box in an exteremly tiny police, same with artifical honey firms, they put HONEY with an extreme oversized police and "artificial" above it in a microscopic police. If someone tries to sue them for ensnaring people, they will counter reply by saying we warned you on the package/box. Still it is a sick, filthy and wicked way to lure people.

The same is with made in Japan products, or the well done counterfeits ones: they write made in Japan, but the subtle warning isn't in english language it is the FRENCH one where they write fabriqué à Japon or Fabrqiué en Japon instead of fabriqué au Japon. It is their way to say we warned you or: "who told you that it is REALLY made in Japan?, If it was really made in Japan we would have written fabriqué au Japon" If it was in english : made ON Japan, all of you would scream BLASPHEMY and doubt the thing. am I right? Well since this thing is aimed at thrid world countries, they don't care, but sometimes it reaches you, yes you people who neglect the other world and only think that the world is only USA.

You think that by just erroneously putting a word or a prepostion is just trivial? One word or prepostion could kill people if not written correctly and I have many examples. Moreover, I repeat it again, the world is not USA only or English speaking countries (that's why you don't care), you don't know how many French talking countries or francophonic countries there are, starting from France itself to many european ones to almost half if not more of Africa, middle east, eastern asia etc, writing such thing in a bad way on many products just pisses them off and they consider it like an insult, and many doubt the authentictiy of the products written like that because that's the truth.

Also like I said in my previous comments, I really don't blame or accuse Sony and never will, because any respectful company will NEVER such mistake, its name on the edge and its honour. I remeber Sony removing the song of the first LittleBigPlanet that insults muslims (won't go into details) and apologizing after, also apoligizing, bowing their heads and giving free games as redemption after the PSN hack, CDProjekt removed a rug in a brothel thats insults sum people and apoligizing , Dice correcting arabic police written backwards between the beta of BF3 and the retail game in order to not upset arabs or arab talking countries or people etc, respectful companies don't want to loose big markets and clients and are sensitive to not soil their names.

Look at this guy backing me up with a photo:

This dude has a point. I remembered, that my Pokémon games have "Made in Japan" written on it, so I took a picture, and the french translation does say "au" and not "en". (Bottom right corner)"

Nintendo didn't /will never do it, so Sony will never do it too. My PS2 was made in Japan and never got that mistake.

To be honest, we really need to check this back, either Foxconn, is getting retialiation after that Sony found out they were sabotaging their PS4, thus packing up the same made in China consoles (whose some are still sabotaged) and just changing the stickers in to made in Japan on both the console and the package, thus the "fabriqué "EN " Japon " (it is their way of telling that we sold you a made in china product and we lavbelled it as made in Japan, in this case it is not a counterfeit like the ones I talked about before, because EU gamers will get the same console as US players but intentionnally lablled as made in Jpan by swapping stickers, which may even contain sstill sabotaged PS4s) which I doubt too. The only thing left is the one who printed the stickers to be applied on the box is so damn stupid and Sony didn't find out about that.

In any way, whether it was intended or not, it is always considered a big problem for Sony's name like I explained.

I hope you got I meant. and Hope Sony clarifies the problem, by confirming japanese made EU PS4 and correct the stickers before upsetting millions of people.

You guys were being a bit harsh on the sticker guy. I just read his comments and he might actually have a point.

I think he was saying there might've been a mix up between Made in Japan and Product of Japan, especially when comparing the French writing, based on his Pokemon Yellow cartridge.

However since it says Made in Japan on the console itself, the matter is over.

As far as I can tell he never mentioned anything about counterfeit PS4s lol.

Thank you for understanding my friend, please read well..my article lol.

My Assassins Creed has been shipped...next gen en route! :)

I've recieved a message from Amazon that they can't ship mine until December 19th. By which point I won't be in the country.

Oh, well. I wasn't really planning on playing it immediately, anyway. Still a bit disappointing, though.

Is it the same as the US one? I've already out that on a USB stick ready to go

Well, there are links that start with "dus" for US and links with "deu" for EU. Get the European one if you want to be on the safe side, I'm not sure if US and EU versions are the same.

Is there a new repair? file for people who are upgrading their HDDs?

Yup, there you go:

Fabriqué en Japon issue posted in this thread as well?

Back to business; best part about PS4 and PSN must be that you can exit the store without a pop up asking if you really want to exit.

I think Occam's razor applies here -

has someone made a simple mistake (unfortunate, but it happens), or is a mighty conspiracy afoot?

Email from Shopto

Your order has been packed and will be dispatched via DPD on Thursday 28th November for delivery on Friday 29th November

BOOYAAAAA

the fuck did i just read … you can´t be seriously thinking that someone shipped a fake ps4 to a journalist. WTF i can't even…

anyway i got assassins creed 4 and the preorder box today too. Only 1 week left!

Are Sony insisting that some units are held back for walk-in customers? I tried to pre-order in a store today, but while I couldn't do so, I was told that there absolutely will be a small number of unallocated PS4s available for purchase on the day. I trust the (independent) retailer in question, though it seems odd that a store wouldn't want to 'sell' everything they have ASAP.

If your order from ShopTo is with DPD and you get an email saying it's been "dispatched", but the status doesn't move from "Details recieved" the morning after, contact ShopTo immediatley. Just gone through so much hell with them today about my Vita order and the poor couriers Twitter feed is full of people missing Vita's and XBone's that should have come today and it's all ShopTo's fault not giving them the package allegedly.

Just keep bugging them until you get a response. Probably never using them again.

Where is the details recieved bit? on shopto or on the tracking bit?

You can force bundles on none pre-orders. (more profit for the stores)

Yeah, that just occurred to me. If it's a bundle I have to take, as long as there's some combination involving two of the games / a game and an extra controller etc I actually want to play, I'm cool. :)

If, on the other hand, it's a choice between nothing and a Knack / NBA Live 14 nightmare bundle, I suspect I'll end up having wasted an hour or so freezing for nothing!

A GAME guy told me they wouldn't have any for non-pre-orders.

I ordered from Amazon and I'll immediately regret it if Yodel delivers it.

Ordered an expensive new camera, and I wasn't in. You know what the Yodel delivery guy did? Put it in the rubbish bin in our front garden and left a note saying 'Bin' on it.

we really need you euros to jump on fifa 14. only 400 people online an hour ago and it took me 5 minutes to find a match.

Has anyone's ShopTo order status changed to completed yet ?

Apparently some people on other forums have started getting emails about Dispatch from ShopTo

Yep, mine has. Had the email too. Tracking number doesn't work, although not sure if it is even a valid number

You know that SSD's perform worse and may have a MUCH shorter life in a ps4 than anything else, right?
It not made for it, they require OS support, for fucks sake, why does everyone think they are some magical solution to everything.

Chill man, haven't there been tests that show SSD's play nice with PS4s. Also improves load times pretty significantly in tests.

On the tracking page once the emails sent.

Yeah, don't trust it though. My Vita was supposed to be dispatched Wednesday, got a dispatch email on Thursday saying it eas coming today, but they never recieved the package until today so I'm not getting it until Monday. Lots of people complaining on Twitter about their XB1 orders today from them too. Don't think they can cope with a console launch.

Mine still says processing, and my mate got his Xbox One today
I've never had problems with them, and my mates Wii U came a day early so...we'll see

Well i hope there are no fuck up's with orders next week cause ShopTo are going to have a load of pissed off customers to deal with.
