I think my faith in Amazon is dwindling. Now even monday seems a far stretch - so far I could still change the options for my order, postal service is not working on saturday in Austria. If my console goes out late today like it looks for now I doubt that I get it on monday. Customer service is as helpfull as ever: "We can't influence the postal service but Amazon sends out packages so that you will get it at the mentioned date" - uh no doesn't look that way. Well back to PS3 for one last weekend it is.

I don't know how it's normally for you, but I get my Amazon packages almost always the day after dispatch. If they dispatch it today, everything should be cool.

I've got my copy of Shadowfall coming from MightyApe and I'm picking up my console from Noel Leeming tomorrow morning, because I work in the same mall. I'm then going to promptly go into work, and spend the entire afternoon swapping out the PS3s HDD with a 750GB 7200RPM drive and putting the old drive into a caddy so I can mess around with my Movie and TV show collection

Was there doing some XMas shopping and saw a bunch of signs around the electronic area saying they'll be in-store tomorrow. Asked the dude if they were gonna have any available and he said no they only have 9 and thats because they had 9 preorders for it...and that I could preorder for a shipment around or after XMas.

My Amazon UK orders have changed.

If you go into the order number now they say "Preparing for dispatch", but they do still say "Preordered" on the summary page (ordered May 28th). You can no longer cancel them though.

Mine arrived, just opened the box to find it was an empty carcass with nothing inside but my battlefield 4 was there and my camera broken. Then i woke up.

Like i said what a nightmare.

With the marvelous majestic DPD they take your number from shopto and will text you that your package is coming at so so date with an option to change it. or leave with neighbour.

Why wouldnt you give shopto your number?

Not seen that stage before. Just hoping Royal Mail get it tomorrow :/ The fact is says 09:00-21:00 makes me think they will use Yodel/Citylink though as their drivers work quite late.

I'm also surprised by this. It's more steps to rely on (and the mail is just not that reliable nowadays..). Just order it in a local store and pick it up. You have to be fast at pre-ordering though since there is a limited amount of consoles. I think in my case there were 39.
