Things I like about the S: a more high-end choice of materials, a minimalist but distinctive look and a striking contrast between colours.
I like the shape of the Pro, but it's let down by a cheap matte plastic look and bland colour.

When I trade back my PS4 to amazon I'm assuming I should take out the 2TB harddrive and pop in the OG one.
Maybe I can find someone looking to buy my 2TB since I'm cool with just using the 1TB the pro comes with until it is decided what's the new best hard drive for it.

I don't get it either, for the record I never buy or not buy a console based off of looks. But The S IMO is generic and boring, at least with the Pro there's some life to it and "flare" to it.
I'll judge material quality when I actually have a Pro out of the box, but I really don't see anything in the S that gets that praise. There's also nothing wrong with a jet black console.

The Xbox One S is a combination of glossy and matte plastic with a metallic touch on the power button. It looks striking in pictures and equally great in real life. Solid build, too.
The PS4 Pro looks to use the same matte plastic as the PS3 and PS4 Slim; a cheap-looking slab.
Nothing wrong with black (I really don't know what puts the 'jet' in black here), but there's more that can be achieved with that colour scheme than just cheap plastic black. For instance, the OG PS4 changed it up with a glossy deep black plastic which looked great.

I had the opposite experience. The Xbox One S looks reasonably slick in publicity shots, but more like a basic plastic block in person. I do think the black layer at the bottom does a great job of creating the illusion that it's much thinner than it is, but the black stripe for the optical drive just strikes me as garish. Then again, I've never been a fan of white consoles so your mileage may vary.

I've been trying to put together something that borrows from "there is no spoon" with a play on fork/4K and it's just not coming together as concisely as the best suggestions so far.
Not included, I already have it and it looks really nice. It has a crystal-like effect and it's compatible with both the PS4 Slim and the PS4 Pro.
Btw about the thread title...I like both the "PS4 Remastered" and "Hello Neo" ones.
