Amazon UK only charge when the item has shipped...
Nope they charge while it's being prepared for shipping in the UK, always has been the case for me same in the US site when I order stuff on there.

when preparing shipment.
In the past, they've always done it when they start the shipping process, which is a day or two before the release date. My Amazon order says that it's shipping on November 8th, so I would expect them to charge me around that time.
With my PS4 OG starting to show its age would it be wise to pick up a Pro even if I don't own a 4k display yet? I really would like to play games like FFXV at full quality/ performance.
That's no glowing logo. That's just a reflection, possibly from the camera flash.
ARC, MHL and STB.
It doesn't really matter as apart from MHL they are essentially just there to allow the user to designate what will plug in where:
STB = Set Top Box
ARC = Audio Return Channel
MHL (Mobile High Definition Link) is a bit different as it allows for USB data to be sent so that something like a phone can output say your photographs to display on your TV via a micro USB to HDMI cable.
I am hoping the PS4 Pro can accept 3.5 drives but it probably will not.
No way in hell.
Here is what I did last week before selling mine on Craigslist:
1) Made sure my saves were backed up
2) Deactivated my PS4
3) Went into the settings and "initialized" it. Chose the Full, not Quick option. That process took about an hour and a half to finish, and once completed, it has the PS4 so that when you power it on you're at the screen where it asks you to hook the controller to the system with the USB cable.....in other words, like you just bought it.
That's a bit much.
All it would need is a slightly larger HDD bay.
Thanks for the info!
Did you deactivate using the console or PlayStation's website?

Leaving room for 3.5" HDDs would be an insane waste of space in a console.
Yes. You can fit a 3.5" HDD in the PS4 right now if you really wanted to.
It's not a "no way in hell" deal.
If you fit something to the top of it and have wires every where yeah but there is no way in hell that hard drive is going inside a ps4 pro.
There's already space for them in the OG models.
Wrong, you don't need to fit anything on top of it, and no wires necessary.

Thats not a 3.5 inch drive.

Do you mean OG PS2? Because PS3 and 4 do not have space for a 3.5 inch. People must be confusing 2.5 tall ones with 3.5 drives which are massive. The spec for a 2.5 is the standard drive. The tall ones don't fit the spec, based on what someone said in another thread. If they fit in your device, great, but the spec is the regular height drives.
Oh lol. Well, consider me dumb. I thought 4TB 2.5" drives didn't exist.
Now I wonder, why they can't allow these 15mm 2.5" drives on PS4 models officially without slight tinkering?
Please tell me it had more usbs?

It has a 3.5" USB slot at the back.
Alongside the three optical ports
I think Sony is actively discouraging 1440p because it doesn't scale well to 4K. So don't expect many games if any to use it.

The ramblings of a crazed fanboy.
Let's hope so. I don't think that we've got confirmation of that yet. Hoping that one of the people who already got one and will be lifted of their NDA say more about this.Yeah I was thinking of 15mm height drives instead of 3.5", my mistake.
Maybe Pro supports those?
talks about PS4Pro......over a standard PS4 gameplay video of the last of us.....and says 4k4k4k4k4k, hype hype hype.....omg did I mention 4K?
who is this guy?
I'm hyped but holy crap I cringed at the commentary about him talking about native 4k and omg its amazing.
Posting that link was like giving birth to Strange'.Yeah, my irony seems to have got lost in this thread, ah well.
Plastic uploaded the first public photomode screenshots from Bound on PS4 Pro. They also show new filters being added to the game.
