Somehow you're still not getting that individual games don't need to launch on a PlayStation handheld.
I'm not saying it will get individual games, I'm saying it needs new games.

As in, MH Wilds won't have too much of an effect on the handheld's sales because most of the PS audience will have played it on their PS5s by then. But a new MH game advertised alongside the handheld could push people to switch to that model.

Hasn't Sony already shown that they are flat out incapable of supporting 2 separate platforms (i.e. console and handheld)?

Heck even Nintendo had the foresight to drop the idea of supporting two separate platforms and just merged their handheld with their console...which worked, incredibly successfully.

I just can't see another "Vita" working for Sony...

People will still be playing Monster Hunter Wilds in 2 years. People are still playing Monster Hunter World and Rise.

The idea is that the handheld is a "PS5 S". So no seperate ecosystem to support, it runs the same games as the other PS5 models.

Plenty will still be playing it by then, but I think most of the PS audience who are willing to buy new hardware for MH will have already bought a PS5 by that point.
