My crazy theory. I think we will see 30th anniversary covers by early next year. The 30th anniversary was to throw off scalpers to chase a golden goose. If there wasn’t, more of the pros if not most would have been eaten up by creating false demand.

Why would not Sony sell the covers later? It’s free money. The only difference would be the serial number anyhow, which collectors will be able to get that version when pros are of diminished value for cheap.

I don't think we will, especially since the middle of the PS5 is black. You can't really re-create the same system, which is probably why they didn't announce covers to begin with, even though they did controllers.

Limiting the controllers also doesn't make sense...

I could see them releasing original gray covers without the numbers or icon details.

That would be a nice way to make up for how poorly they launched the 30th anniversary version.

I think it's just gonna be to the point that you'll see when you have your hands on it. The footage is already under videos that are compressed on YouTube and the like.

I think there's a chance to revise payment method within a 24 hour period if I'm not mistaken. Just get prepared for thr withdrawal over the next 2 weeks..

I got the 11th date estimate from Amazon as well. But I'd be surprised if it didn't come release day. That said, I don't care that much as I'm never as hyped for mid gen updates as new console, especially when there's not a game I'm hyped for launching aside it. So no big deal if it's the 11th, minor bummer that I'm out of town the 12th through 14th (and maybe also the 15th-17th), so I'd like to get it before the prior weekend. But not the end of the world as November is always a lighter gaming month for me with a work conference always the first half of the month and Thanksgiving travels at the end.

Yes, but the PS Direct terms in regards of failed payments will be the same, just the whole process should be a fortnight later.

They could and most probably are under a NDA, I think we will find out more when America wakes up as there could be the potential for some unboxing videos later on today if their not under one.

Yeah, mine is being sent to a local Amazon pick up location. Wonder if it would have been sooner if I had it shipped directly to me, but at least I don’t have to worry about porch pirates.
