PS3
Cronk
Cronk is quite proud of his Blu-ray technology. He is a decrepit, outdated robot who thinks he is superior to the other two robots, Zephyr and Willie. Caretaker of Talwyn.
X360
Zephyr has advanced online connectivity. He is a decrepit, outdated robot who thinks he is superior to the other two robots, Cronk and Willie. Caretaker of Talwyn.
Wii
Willie
Willie spazes out and flails around battle. Willie was killed on their last mission. He is a decrepit, outdated robot who thinks he is superior to the other two robots, Cronk and Zephyr.

AHAAHAH I've learnt about them today, genious!

Yeah man, it's old, but funny nonetheless.

An other update, the japanese store has a Heavenly Sword demo, size is 992MB. I don't know if anything changes compared to the old western demo.

I usually take the Japanese stuff that goes up during the week and put it in the next thread.

Praise the lard. Price?
Not really an exact answer, but this is from Dylan Cuthbert, president of Q-Games:

Hey everyone,

Thanks for all the comments!

The demo and full game will be on the store very soon now and the price will be, as far as I am aware, less than 10 bucks.

You can unlock and purchase the game directly from the demo so give it a play and if you like what you see, fund us so we can keep experimenting and making more quirky stuff like this!

Things cost money to make.

I'm not saying they should be given away for free. But the price has to be right. The PixelJunk games are very simple and with very small budgets. According to Dylan Cuthbert, the plan is to have three in production at any given time, and each game is expected to only take 6-8 weeks to finish.

Piyotama was priced right. I hope they price PixelJunk Racers right too.

Aww FFS, give us 2.0 already!

Exactly what I said in another thread. Still it's nice that they're getting fixing these problems that the firmware updates cause within a reasonable amount of time. :p

i've being in dozens of forums and the responses are always mixed. for the euro folks complaining about puzzle fighter, can't you use an international card to buy it in the US store? does the ps store blocks that?

anyone knows the definitive anwser for this? i'm moving back to brazil on october, so i need to know and can't find a good explanation in the crappy faqs i've being through

I don't believe this all through August Neogaf has been bitching about a certain no show Ratchet and Clank demo and when news of it's date finally pops up no-one catches onto it, you disgust me.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction will be released in the US on 23rd October and in Europe this November, Insomniac's Ryan Schneider told Eurogamer today.

Separately, the game's product manager confirmed that a demo of the game will be released on PlayStation Network in the US and Europe on 4th October.

Although it's about the 78th game in the series, Tools of Destruction is something of an origins tale, which sees the popular PS2 heroes taking over Emperor Percival Tachyon's ship and journeying around the galaxy for their first PS3 adventure.

LocoRoco PS3 coming, only £1.99

LocoRoco Cocoreccho will arrive as part of Sony's PSN update next Thursday for the bargain price of £1.99.

Why so cheap? Because it's not a fully fledged game like the much-loved PSP title, but an interactive screensaver that, we assume, runs in the background of the PS3's XMB.

As we previously reported, this cut-down version of the game will be a single-player application controlled using the tilt functionality of the SixAxis.

The idea appears to remain the same - you tilt the level (this time by tiling the SixAxis) to gather the little LocoRoco blobs and guide them safely through physics-based obstacles and past blob-eating enemies.

Log onto the PS Store next Thursday with a credit card at the ready.

Stupid UK-goers, you get LocoRoco one week earlier. It's not fair! *stamps foot on ground*

The rest of Europe is getting it the 20th of this month also. No word on other downloads this week?

Well Locoroco seems to go JPN > EU > US rather than the usual JPN > US >>>>> EU even the PSP release was like that.

£2 is really tempting for a game/screensaver.

I read "next Thursday" as in the 20th. If it's tomorrow, it's ambiguously and terribly written.

Now that you mention it, yeah... I think it is terribly written, I mean, why would only the UK get something like this a week before the rest of Europe, or Japan for that matter. Something smells fishy...

But it's a damn shame we have to wait until december before we can get our hands on Pain. I tried it yesterday, not sure if it warrants it's own thread right now, and of course I'm the one who managed to pull of something like this :D :

3 games developed in parallel with one released every 2 months or so, is 6 months development time per game.

What's the deal with PixelJunk Racers? I just watched the demo, and it looked like it was basically playing itself. Is it controlled like Championship Sprint - 'cause if it was, I can't imagine the video portrayed human beings playing the game.

Think more Scalectrix.

Another confirmed demo for this week:

TONY HAWK’S PROVING GROUND DEMO NOW AVAILABLE ON XBOX LIVE MARKETPLACE

PLAYSTATION 3 Computer Entertainment System Demo Set to Release September 13

Starting today gamers can begin to create their own skating legacy on Xbox 360 with Activision, Inc.’s demo of Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground. Available now on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, the demo gives fans a first taste of choosing their own skating style, the newest gameplay mechanics and advanced features from the deepest, most customizable skateboarding game ever. A demo for the PLAYSTATION 3 system will be available on the PLAYSTATION Store beginning Thursday, September 13.

The demo takes skaters to Philadelphia (one of three cities in Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground) to begin shredding the pavement as contest-winning Career Athletes, fast and furious Hardcore Skaters and creative maverick Riggers, who alter and modify the world into their own skate park. As players progress they will experience the latest advancements in the world-renowned franchise, including Nail the Grab, for the ultimate control of grab tricks and tweaks; the Aggro Kick for clearing huge gaps; Rigging goals, enabling players to tweak the environment however they want to create unique skate lines; and video creation with the full-featured video editor for epic skate videos.

I have this funny feeling both Skate and TH demos are coming tomorrow now.

in case anyone wanted to know what was up with Stranglehold Demo's audio

Stranglehold Blog said:
Hi guys,

First off, we are aware of the audio problem in the PS3 demo. The problem appears to only occur if your PS3 is set to use the Digital Out (Optical) setting for audio output. We’re all over the problem, and it will definitely be fixed in the full retail version of the game. And I’m told the audio quality will improve across the board as well.
And to answer Havik and Nick, no the secret in the PS3 demo is not the golden gun. Those were in the 360 version too. But since y’all haven’t found it yet, here’s a hint. The secret is located in the staircase area near the start of the demo. Happy hunting!

Cheers,
Patrick

...so at least they do know about it and have since fixed it

looks like tomorrow will be a big update.

@the locoroco date - wasnt it confirmed yesterday, that the game/screensaver will hit the PSN store next week (09.20.2007)?

Fifa 08 demo got confirmed for PSN on Eurogamer to I'm not sure Sony can handle putting lots of demoes at once somethings got to give.

Not true, I have the same sound problem running through A/V audio.

So, confirmed for tomorrow, we've got Tony Hawk demo, Fifa 08 demo, High Stakes on the Vegas Strip, and PixelJunk Racers? Not freaking bad at all. Now how about some PSOne games? :D

And a possible LocoRoco. Maybe skate as well but I have a gut feeling they're going to hold on to it again.
