Did you change the two options in recovery/configuration menu?TheSeks said:Seriously? I'm on D3, put the version 2 of PSNFucker/Lover on it, edit the seplugins and vhs.txt, nada. Says it can't connect.

Fake UMD Region -> Debug Type 1
M33 Network Update -> Disabled
Was in my readme, though I'm using the older PSNFucker beta 2.TheSeks said:There wasn't any mention of that in the readmes I had.
Guess I'll redownload and try it again. I want those Uniqlo shirts (esp the BB as Che one).
That's the FW I have. I ripped it to my stick and used the 620.prx that has been mentioned a lot here.sotodefunk said:can I make an ISO of my UMD and patch it with that prometeus patch some guys are talking about? I dont want to upgrade my FW just to play it, although I will if there is no other option![]()

Nothing, just hit select on the XMB and the CFW menu should pop up.sotodefonk said:Thanks can you tell me what homebrew did you use to dump the UMD?

Change USB to UMD and when you turn on your USB connection your computer should read the drive instead of the memory stick. Simply copy it to your computer and rename and switch back to your memory stick.
Yup!sotodefonk said:MIND BLOWN! :lol :lol
I didnt know that, Just did and it is really easy, copying the UMD right now![]()

did you make the .txt files also?TheSeks said:That worked. I reput my PSN account on the PSP, now it's throwing out that it wants a system update and won't let me enter the store, nor use Peace Walkers code menu.![]()

Hmm, gotta be something off.TheSeks said:That worked. I reput my PSN account on the PSP, now it's throwing out that it wants a system update and won't let me enter the store, nor use Peace Walkers code menu.![]()

I did the steps I mentioned, and also the game.txt and vsh.txt edits.
Are you using Lover or Fucker?TheSeks said:And I did those. Like I said, no account lets me into the store just fine. Using my account meanwhile won't let me do shit. :/
dallow_bg said:Are you using Lover or Fucker?
Can't believe I wrote that.
That sucks man, I'm definitely able to use my main PSN account.
Use PSNLover. It's just the most updated version of PSNFucker, with a changed name.TheSeks said:PSNfucker.prx ver 2.1

ah fuck it. Apparently I have to edit something in the flash, I'd rather avoid that.TheSeks said:6.20.prx, if they work like my PSN copy of Peace Walker.
BTW, changing it to PSNlover and editing the files to point to lover worked. Thanks. Now to get the shirts.

SnakeXs said:So my PSPhat is on DA firmware. Who do I need to do to get it up to date? ._.
whitehawk said:That's all I have to do? seriously?
wait, how do I enter the recovery menu?
dallow_bg said:Seks, let me know if you're able to get the shirts without the game crashing/freezing.

So the demo, it launched at first, but then gave me the "game could not be started" error. hmmm It usually just told me i needed to update, so i did something right, but im still missing something.TheSeks said:What, version.txt? I've done it five times. It's simple and save. Just go to flash0:/etc/vsh/version.txt (IIRC the path) change whatever your firmware number is (5.50?) to 6.20/620 wherever there is 5.50/550 in that file. Save, close connection to flash0, recovery menu->config->use version.txt? (ENABLE)
It's totally safe, just don't mess with anything else in the flash0.

Oh, do I still need the 6.20 prx?
TheSeks said:... This has to be asked at least five times every page.
Update to GEN as if you were updating M33 to a newer M33. Simple.
In fact, it's even easier now.
5.50 firmware->550.pbp root of drive.
/psp/game/update/genupdatestuffinhere
5.50-GEN-D3 update app in XMB.
????
PROFIT!
zerokoolpsx said:I'm having trouble playing demos. I get the message game could not be started. I have 6.20 prx in my seplugins, and saved m33_620prx 1 in those txt files. Change my version txt to 6.20 and have it enabled in recovery menu. I'm stumped!
pubba said:I just bought a PSP today. It's an old fat one with System Software 3.51 M33
From looking through this thread, that seems like a very old firmware. Unfortunately the Dark Alex site is down. Can anyone point me in the right direction to learn how to upgrade the firmware myself? Hopefully I can do it without buying the Pandora batter..
SnakeXs said:Thanks. I was told somewhere that since I'm pretty old I'd need to update in steps in a certain order. If it's that easy then well, sorry for wasting time.![]()

RurouniZel said:Hello,
I'll ask one more time since I'm kinda desperate. I really really want to play Disgaea Infinite, but every time I try to decrypt the EBOOT I keep getting this message.
http://www.studio-zel.com/images/DisgaeaInfinite_problem.jpg
So as it stands, I can't play the game. Help?
TheSeks said:5.55 and 6.10 as well.
I don't see any mention of 6.20 there. Try to find an updated decrypter as 6.20 is the latest firmware and what most modern releases want?
RurouniZel said:Using Yoshihiro Decrypter v4, is there a later version?
TheSeks said:Possible, I dunno.
Have you tried running with 620.prx?
RurouniZel said:No, I've never done that. I've never heard of it, so I guess I'll have to do some research. Thanks!
Wasn't the version.txt trick beaten by Sony a while back? Mejlan said something to that degree yesterday I believe.TheSeks said:You'll need to edit the version.txt, which isn't totally safe, but safe if you only go where you need to and get out of flash0 after.
But that should work. It's been running things that require 6.20 for me just fine. *shrug* Can't hurt to see if that works.

Nope. I just did it yesterday and now newly released demos work just fine.Minamu said:Wasn't the version.txt trick beaten by Sony a while back? Mejlan said something to that degree yesterday I believe.
