that's a bit of a hassle compared to the ps3, but I got it. Thanks!navanman said:Press triangle on your Account Management & delete your account. Then sign up again with your Japanese PSN account

YES! This is the exact thing I was hoping to see when clicking this thread. Thanks!homez99 said:Dark Alex has just released the 1.50 add-on for 5.00M33 if anyone is still using 1.50 homebrew.
Hopefully firmware could do something about it... I haven't noticed it myself though. Now I'm going to look.WickedLaharl said:

What happened?
Mejilan said:And surprisingly, the PSP 3000 does NOT use the hackproof mobo of the newest 2000s. It seems to be using a more vulnerable mobo instead. Bizarre.
Dragona Akehi said:That would be it then. It shares the same motherboard with PSP3000 right? Any chance when they figure out 3000 this one should be hackable right?
x3sphere said:Well, the motherboard in the 3000 is updated, even though it has the same name (TA-090). If you insert a Pandora battery on a 3000, the PSP won't turn on at all. Not even the green LED comes on.
It doesn't have the same motherboard but if a hack is found for the 3000 it would likely carry over. Pandora seems to be totally blocked in the 3000 so unless there is another way in service mode, someone will have to find a security hole in the firmware itself.
Hcoregamer00 said:Wow, Sony went into overtime to make sure the new PSPs were hack proof.

spindoc said:5.0 just came out. Update to that.
Askia47 said:i dont think thats the problem though! the same thing could happen with 5.0!
after it says "unpacking... done"
it just says "please wait.."![]()

Haven't got a new version in some time, but it used to be bundled with LAME, OGG, AAC, etc...
Ike said:Hey, I have a question. I have a friend's PSP and it's a Phat PSP1001 without any TA motherboard with 3.51 firmware. Is there a way to install the CFW without a Pandora Battery?
I can't even downgrade to 1.5?spindoc said:You can't. There's a Lumines hack that works on 3.50, but everything onwards requires a Pandora battery.
spindoc said:Power the PSP down completely, hold R and power it up again.
Go to Configuration, scroll down to Game folder Homebrew..it's set at 1.50, change it to 3xx
Back out and exit. Should install fine now.
Ike said:OK, so I'm just gonna create a Pandora battery using my PSP with CFW already. But I got to step 6. Place the 150, 371.PBP and 380.PBP in root/base level of the MS. But, I don't know where that is? Is it in the folder MP_ROOT?
Ike said:So I just did all the steps and it installed right but when I try placing it in the other PSP, the power light comes on right away and I'm holding L and nothing happens. How long should it take for something to come up?
Edit: Now, I can even turn on my PSP with the battery. The power light just comes on and nothing happens. :\
I can't even use the Pandora Battery I created to turn on my own PSP with CFW. (I'm trying to install CFW for a friend) The memory stick works fine in the both PSPs and it has all the programs it installed when I ran UPMS installer. It's just that the system aren't turning on or anything.Mejilan said:Sounds like there's something wrong with the paired magic memory stick.
I'm not trying to use this on a slim. I made it on my Phat model and am trying to use it on a Phat model.Mejilan said:If you used UPMS, then you should have a Pandora that displays-to-screen on a Slim.
If you can't use the Pandora AT ALL on any PSP, then it's probably because something went wrong with the magic memory stick. A Pandora without a matched MMS won't work.
Take the battery out. Plug the AC adapter into the PSP. Power the PSP on. Once it boots, put the Pandora battery back in. You should now be able to access the Pandora tools and remake it, if necessary.

Anyways, does it matter that the battery is the 2200mAh model?

Ike said:Just general bitching too. I thought the 5.00 update was gonna make it so when a USB cable is inserted it was gonna pick it up automatically. It's a pain to select it every time. /rant

9. Select Step 1 (IPL Tools) and install the "Sleep Fix Multi-IPL to Memory Stick", then back to Main Menu.
But I don't see it under the IPL tools.
Edit: I'm trying this from 5.00 M33. Does that matter at all?
Edit x2: On the Step 1 IPL Tools the line is gray and it says (Disabled/Inactive)
Thanks for this. Downloading it now.Mejilan said:IIRC, the newest version of Red Squirrel's Alternate VSH Menu (which kicks ass, btw), supports this. It even works with 5.00 M33.
I should've done it back on 4.01 M33 then before I updated. :lolMejilan said:Ahhh, I'm not so sure that the current UPMS installer works on a 5.00 M33. You might have to wait for a new version to hit, or use an alternative.
I tried it but it said I needed the BIOs files. :\ICallItFutile said:I would recommend the UnOfficial gpSP-Kai GBA emulator.
