Don't see anything saying the kid was gay, or even male.

Two thoughts. Schools have been known to not encourage political rhetoric too well. And of course, hopefully the teacher was fired as that was completely the inappropriate and disgusting response.

Not really the point. The kid was not asked to go change their shirt to comply with a school policy, they were singled out for negative attention by the actions of an individual teacher. But of course I agree that hopefully the teacher was fired.

Dude he is gay, not retarded. If he choose to wear that shirt it's probably because he felt he could handle any heat coming his way because of it. I'm actually pretty sure that the teacher caused him zero harm in the long run, but branding a kid like that is still inappropriate as fuck.
