Quest 3S is currently the top selling device in Amazon's Video Games category.

Honestly I've been tempted but I have a feeling the novelty will wear off pretty quickly and it will gather dust after that.

My quest 3 has been gathering dust. I'm debating purchasing batman but the way the quest boys are overhyping it seems rather suspicious.

No one believes you have a quest 3. And are you sure it's just the quest fans hyping the game? Because I can link you about 20 reviews of people who aren't, many who aren't even VR fans calling it their goty.

Funnily enough, when you put out an extremely good exclusive game for a platform, the sales of that platform increase.

My son had the older version then wins the quest3 at an arcade. Plays gorilla tag and something else. Game looks like ass 😄 but he loves it. Bunch of kids with mics. Reminds me of the xbox live launch. Goodtimes.

I don't like the lenses, the sweet spot is not big enough. But i finally couldn't resist anymore and ordered a 512GB Quest 3 for ~400 Euro. Not on Amazon though, but a very good offer from MM.

Really? It seems fucking enormous to me. Almost all sweet spot, thanks to the pancakes. It's a night and day difference with PSVR2, and much better than Quest 2 as well.

I'm actually surprised there aren't more 5th and 6th gen fans that play VR. Or maybe there is more than I realize.

VR speaks to the 6th generation of games with weird, wacky, and "extreme" vibes of the late 90s-early 2000s but layered with coat of passion we don't see anymore in a world of infinite remasters and remakes. There is real originality and even homage to games of old.

Well that an the price.
$300 is not pocket change (for most people), but it's still cheap enough to be an impulse buy for many people, particularly for those who already had at least some interest in VR to begin with.
Specially since it's JUST $300, it's not "$300 but also you need a Ps5 and/or a mid to high end PC".

$300 and you get probably the best pack in game I've played all year.

I unironically think the complete lack of porn hurt PSVR badly. If there is one universal truth about men aged 18-35 or whatever the target demo for VR is, it’s that they absolutely love jacking off.
Hey! I’m over 40 and married and have a very active sex life still. And sometimes us oldies just need to squeeze one off. VR is just the coolest way to see porn.

I'm sure others have responded, but I'm a Quest fanboy and was still super suspicious of this game. I thought AC was a dud and didn't live up to the hype, so I didn't have much faith that they would do the Batman Arkham IP justice. I was wrong, it's a great Arkham game. It's a great VR game.

SO, if I have PSVR2, is it worth it to grab the quest? I REALLY want to Play Batman Arkham Shadow, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be stuck there forever.

If the purchase doesn’t affect you negatively (financially) then yes, it’s worth owning a Quest 3. The lenses are a deal changer.

Also, I can’t recommend the Quest Optimizer app enough.

$300+ is a huge investment for one game. I think it's my GOTY so far but I had so many other stuff that I was already interested in trying before I decided to get a Q3. Quest has some pretty good exclusives but what really sold me was the wireless aspect which I also use for PCVR.

LOL that's a deep rabbithole to go down in. Next you'll need a battery pack so that you can actually play for more than an hour with the boosted graphics. Then you'll decide that the battery is better when combined with a headstrap. Then you'll want new facial interfaces that work better with your strap. Why not get new grips while you're at it too? Maybe those grips should come with rechargeable batteries?

That could be true. But that tends to happen if you really like something and want it better.

I don’t have grips, but I did already have a huge power bank for phones in case of power outages. We live in an area where the insane winds can knock out power. So I have pretty much started using that battery with my headset in sessions that might go longer than an hour. With the battery, I think I can get up to 5 hours. And because it’s big, I place it in a fanny pack and have a usb cord go behind me. That way I can still walk around the house freely, which is super important.

Another christmas another round of VR " OH ITS GOING OT BE GREAT THIS TIME! "

We're living that now. I guarantee you go to any forum with people actually playing Batman and you'll see more excitement for it than non VR games. Now we have Triangle Strategy, Alien, Behemoth, Metro VR, etc coming real soon.

And of course its even more confirmation when people that care nothing for VR feel the need to drop in and be negative and leave. :)

I’m not knocking it dude. Honey Select 2 VR is one of the first things I fired up on my Quest 2 tbqh.

Yes, and I got it all

Should I expect any kind of black Friday deals?
Maybe they will offer some store credit or a few months of Quest+. The price isn't going to drop though.

So, does Q3S have a single screen and only 3 fixed IPD settings like Q2?
Yep, same exact optical stack and screen. The fixed IPD is a poor choice for a large percentage of people, but I guess that is the upsell.

They were on sale for $350 a few weeks ago, you should've grabbed one back then.

But if sales crawl back to 10 per week they might do another sales promo for the holiday, so keep hope alive.
My PC isn't great, I do own a PS5 Pro (soon). If I want to make art and experiment creatively with a headset, the Quest 3s for 300 bucks is probably the better choice, compared to the psvr2, right?
