R/Kanye subreddit turns into a holocaust awareness subreddit and that's fantastic

Man what a fuckin snake that Alex Jones is. Anyone with half an ounce of decency would have shut that interview down the moment they realised their guest was out of his fuckin mind. No doubt Jones immediately saw the attention and money he could make off the nutjob

Nah let Kanye destroy himself. Apparently he's said shit like this behind the scenes for years but had competent people surrounding him that managed to keep it hidden this whole time. He doesn't deserve anyone covering for him or downplaying his insanity. The guy wants to be the fucking president. No mercy.

Because the dude is clearly going through some kind of mental breakdown. I ain’t a fan of his music. I liked that gold digger track. That was great. Anyways, I saw him on Rogan and what he said was he didn’t want to take his meds because he felt they killed whatever it is that makes him creative. So what we’re seeing here is a dude who hasn’t taken his meds going nuts and a bankrupt asshole profiting off him. Throw in a bunch of ghouls who are just there for the spectacle and want to kick the guy when he’s down. The whole thing is shitty. I will say good on his sub Reddit for doing that anti holocaust stuff though.

So, he has a mental breakdown, therefore what he is saying should be disregarded? Because no one in their right mind would say stuff like that?.

Nah. I just see a pretty ignorant person that believes he is some kind of "chosen one".

Exactly. No one in their right mind would say stuff like that. Fuckin bingo. So near and yet so far eh buddy. You nearly got it. The guy has a long history of crazy. He’s not ignorant, he’s out of his fuckin mind.

Really? Has he been a black Israelite for years or something then? I think that's the same situation Nick Cannon fell into, but that guy still had his management and PR firm to help him save his career.

I dont know all the details but I think TMZ confirmed that they deleted Hitler comments from an interview a few years ago.

You know at first I was going to defend him as watching the full interview his point of view seemed to be that, as a Christian you should love everybody. Do not judge others, love your enemy type of thing and I thought that was the point he was trying to make at first but Alex Jones kept baiting him and Kanye being Kanye wanting to be controversial took it way too far. I had a religious upbringing and can understand that point of view, however context is everything and as much as Kanye may say the right things (regarding Christianity) his body language and personality shows completely different. I do not see one shred of kindness or humility in him, and this observation extends to all the other extreme right wing nut jobs currently using Christianity for their own gain.

Someone who loves Nazis needs no defenders.

I always thought that he never should have gotten any attention, whether it's from Alex Jones or Fox News or whatever.

He's always been nutty and should never have gotten interviews with people like Tucker Carlson or whoever.

I know most people on the right and conservatives are good people that know Nazis are awful pieces of shit. Anyone with half a brain knows that regardless of where you stand politically. But of course people want to score points so they point at conservatives but the only thing was is that conservative were guilty of giving him attention but otherwise most of them see Kanye West for the piece of shit he is.

Edit: yeah sorry I got a bit political here. I guess it's kind of hard not to with what's going on. I do hope they call him out and make fun of him on Gutfeld on Monday. I just recently got into that show and enjoying it.

There is an exploitative aspect looking at it as a mental health crisis. Questions of what circles of people he was running with, worsening it, then putting it on display.

I had a neighbour, who, shortly before he lost his house and belongings, shouted, "Hitler did nothing wrong!" from a busstop while sitting with a known criminal as I was on my way to the park at 1 in the morning. He had told me he went off his medication a few weeks prior. It wasn't long before people got him spouting the same message as Kanye and took advantage of him.

Turning the subreddit into holocaust awareness was a fantastic idea. That's good for everyone, including Kanye.

I say this as being Jewish but I actually wonder if I should feel sorry for this guy or not?

I mean feel sorry for him in the sense if it really means he has a serious psychological mental health issue. In that case he just needs as much help as he can get. I can tell you that the mental health system in America is absolutely awful and I know that firsthand especially with what I'm going through right now.

But he has the resources to where he can get good help and he needs it if that's the case.

There's no need to feel sorry for him.

Understanding the context and causes might help him and others in the future, especially with prevention.

Wouldn't feel too bad. He made a decision to stop his meds. That's a bad decision, and a decision which should have set off his own safety nets and contacted his doctor (which he clearly had one, along with a house and what sounds like health care).

I feel bad for those who need help and can't get it, not those that have it and don't maintain it.

Same with Kanye. He self admitted he'd rather ride the crazy high than do the right thing for himself and his family, as well as his fans. All actions are his at this point, and he's responsible for them.

Nah Kanye saying the quiet part loud and refusing to dogwhistle properly just exposed the more experienced dogwhistlers Jones, Tucker etc for the demons they are

My father passed away just two weeks from today. I lived with and took care of him for many years and I have no family or friends in this area and I'm going through an extremely difficult time, the worst time in my life.

As messed up as I am right now psychologically, I would never say or do anything like what he did. And I'm getting the worst of the mental health care due to my insurance and finances. He doesn't have an excuse at all.

Kanye is mentally ill in my opinion, all these internet broadcasters are just exploiting him which is very sad. In this case they are worse than the mainstream outlets.

What? Kanye was being celebrated as the cornerstone of what it means the be a modern Republican and was platformed by them because he was a black man saying subtle racist shit like “slavery was a choice”.

There’s a reason the GOP tweeted this out less than two months ago:

rip-finally-to-that-republican-kanye-elon-trump-t-2-3366-1669935070-60_dblbig.jpg

They aren’t getting off the hook for this just because Kanye went from dog whistling racist, hateful shit to just saying it outright. They’re reaping what they sewed.

I don't think people were celebrating him so to speak. Most Republicans also knew he was a nutcase.

They'll be calling him out on Monday.

Anyways this is slipping into political talk and is a big No-No here so I'll leave what I said at that.

I watched a Joe Politics video (can't post it here) that was "highlights" of Kayne on Infowars, and I'd absolutely agree that he's completely mentally broken.

Complelty masked face, spouting nonsense about Hitler and the Nazis and pulling out a butterfly net and pretending it was a character called "netty", telling people he practices "Chinese water torture" on himself.........Kayne made Alex Jokes look like a sane voice of reason.

The bipolar certainly doesn't help matters, but it's not the only underlying problem. Even without the swings, on any given day he’s incapable of self-reflection, incapable of admitting being wrong, incapable of taking no for an answer, incapable of maintaining friendships and relationships. He thinks he’s too smart for an education and too smart to have ever read a book. He thinks he can speak on behalf of Jesus and start a Sunday school without having read any of the Bible. He thinks he’s above being cancelled for saying the most heinous things. He thinks he’s an unparalleled genius who can do no wrong, and when someone gets in his way or pushes back on any of this, even gently, he turns on them completely.

And up until the Adidas moment, society has rewarded him and reinforced his behavior every step of the way, so of course he’s still doubling down.

Many “Whelps”! Handle It!
Yea. Having some self confidence is healthy. But when someone has a comically outsized ego like Kanye West it's invariably going to remind people of certain figures from our past - one more so than the others.

I began disliking West about ten years ago when I saw him berate some poor fan who had the audacity to merely ask him a question. The way West spoke to him, the things he said, I could see he was not only a narcissist, but the worst kind of narcissist.

Its never a good idea to ideolize famous people.
I like famous people for their art(Pele, R9, michael jackson), but I would never twerk for them or ideolize them. There is a line between liking their art vs ideolizing them.

Let this be a lesson to you fellas.
Appreciate the art not the artist 💯

I’m genuinely expecting this dude’s gonna livestream an anti-Semitic music video in a Nazi uniform and finish it, Bud Dwyer style, after goose steppin’ up to the camera, throwing a salute, and screaming ”Vote Ye for president 2024! Sieg Heil!”

(click) *BOOM.*

What a remarkable display of public self-destruction if I’ve ever seen it, it’d be a fascinating watch if it wasn’t so sad. Man, Ye, my sympathies to your family. Seek help.

Bipolar doesn’t make someone a gigantic antisemite. It can certainly exacerbate opinions that the person might have held anyway, though…

Kanye has mental health issues, but they don’t excuse this kind of naked hate and bigotry. He needs to go away.

There are others artists that made good music and are not total shitheads.
And what?

John Lennon was a violent bastard, who beat his first wife. I still love The Beatles. I bought their Mono Box Set when it released for over £150.

I even still like Kevin Spacey as an actor. Shoot me.

The truth is that most genuine artist, the ones worthy of your attention (the ones that don’t have a cabal of people to think for them), are on the borderline between genius and mental illness.

You want to boycott every performer who’s a piece of shit? Good for you. I’m not going to.

I have never listened to his songs before and recently decided to listen to some of his popular hits. Still don't understand what the big deal is and why he's so famous.

Also all this canceling will make him double down even more. He most likely thinks that all (((those people))) are trying to cancel him because he's right.

In most European countries what he said is actually illegal. Until that point he said a lot stupid shit too, but it wasn't breaking the law.

Adidas is a German company - Nazi glorification and Holocaust denial are illegal in Germany. They obviously wanted to avoid not only bad PR, but any problems with the law as well.

See link at the bottom: Worrying how so few young people know the facts of the holocaust. This stuff should be taught properly in schools until the sun burns out.

History in general needs to be taught, WARTS and all. Knowing the reasons and circumstances that brought upon one of the darkest moments in history allows us the opportunity from preventing anything like it from happening again.

But we as a society can't be afraid to teach history as it is and not try to manipulate it to make it seems rosier than it really was.

CONTEXT is everything.

I do worry sometimes that this generation's aversion to anything that might be considered offensive or disturbing, might lead to things like the holocaust not being explained and detailed properly. Sometimes people need to be shocked, need to be revulsed, to have them understand and appreciate the horrors that went on, so they never get repeated again. The holocaust is the greatest argument against bigotry and hate, and everybody needs to know about it.

No you’re absolutely right. Common Core History doesn’t talk about Hitler. Which is why you have people like Kanye loving him and others even on this very forum blindly defending Nazis.
