Racial Differences in Bluetooth Cellphone Headset usage?

Sorry for the negro-bump but can someone explain this? I work at a restaurant and yesterday I saw three different black women come in wearing and using their headsets. I see it ALL the time and I'm relatively certain I'm not noticing this selectively.

It had to be by accident, right? Right?? Oh my god.

On-topic: I can't ever specifically remember seeing a black person wearing a bluetooth headset in my whole life until this thread, but it's not something I've ever really payed attention to. I'll add it to my list of arbitrary racial stereotypes to notice and then feel bad for noticing.

This is because people are talking on their phones less and less. More communication is done through texting and social media than actually talking to people. Who wants to carry around a bluetooth headset when they end up spending 2 minutes or less a day on voice communication?

I work for a mobile phone carrier. I do double take when i see a middle aged black man NOT wearing a bluetooth headset. Anectdote for the
loss
.

Living in a predominately white and Asian community, I see more whites and Asian wearing BT headsets in public. Go figure.

It is possible that the negro bump is the result of a racist spell correction software on someones phone or tablet?

I tried it on my laptop but it does not autocorrect necro to negro. He could have also just mistyped it or accidentally or intentionally stumbled on an awesome new phrase (that sadly won't be permitted on this forum).

Only when you type negro enough.

Hot people can get away with any fashion faux pas that would be deadly to us mere mortals.

Auto correct learns based on your usage. There are default words, but if you're using specific words a lot they will get added. So unless our bumper is using Swype to text "negro" a lot, it's probably not an auto correct thing.
