Racial Differences in Bluetooth Cellphone Headset usage?

Took my post.

When I see someone using a Bluetooth headset they are typically talking way louder than they should with no regard for their surroundings and I immediately think they are tool bags, regardless of their color. This can actually apply to nearly all cell phone use in public.

Why do people hold their phone in front of them and talk into it?

Seriously, this. Black or white or Asian, whatever, I'd say 99% of people I see use BT ear pieces when taking a call practically scream into the thing. It's really irritating. They also pace around and get in other people's way without any regard. It's as if they are in a totally different world when a call comes through. Don't get me wrong, I pace when I'm on the phone too, or do weird shit like sit awkwardly in a chair or something, but that's when I'm at home, and I still don't scream at whoever I may be talking to.

They're like blinking douche indicators attached to someone's ear.

Edit: didn't realize this was an old thread. And apparently a "negro-bump" at that, whatever that is lol.

Bad autocorrect?

This is what my iPhone autocorrect turns it into.

nerco-bump

Either Google/Windows Phone/whatever messed him up or he was trolling lol.

Now that this has thread been negro-bumped, I have a related question: lately I've seen a fair number of people with headphone/collar like things around their necks. What's the point of these?

Sorry for the negro-bump but can someone explain this? I work at a restaurant and yesterday I saw three different black women come in wearing and using their headsets. I see it ALL the time and I'm relatively certain I'm not noticing this selectively.

Let people wear whatever they want. But since you are already banned.....
GGWP i guess.

They are stereo earbuds bluetooth headset where you wear them like a necklace that have them earbuds stick to the ends with a magnet. They also have button controls on the base.
I have one and it's really nice for general use or jogging.

I'm sure he meant necro, guys.
I think that's a possibility. Otherwise it would be a (succesful) account suicide.

But I don't know how you go from "c" to "g". It's difficult to imagine a language that doesn't use "necro" as it comes from greek. Every western language must use it somehow, so the autocorrect hypothesis doesn't look right.

Good for jogging/running/exercise while listening to your music without a wire sticking out of your pocket.

When people are on a cellphone it takes their awareness out of their immediate surroundings, and we operate on the social cues from the people we talk with. So suddenly a man isn't at a doctor's office waiting to be called in, he's back at home with his wife trying to talk over their two boys wreaking havoc in the living room.

There's no way "negro-bump" was unintentional. It probably popped into his head and he searched for a thread to use it in.

Pretty sure 'negro-bump' was a typo, kids. C'mon now.

Anyhow, I have to admit I've noticed the correlation between black people and BT headsets thing where I live too. Can't stand the damn things myself. I just use the Apple earpod things. I don't like having to futz with BT. It's easier to just stick a wire in there or pull it out, if need be.

I see so many people with these. My friend works at the post office and everyone I have met that works with him wears these.

This was my thought as well. There's no way it could be that much of a coincidence. He goes and finds a thread from 2011 about something involving black people, then not only mentions that it's a necro bump, but says negro bump. G and C are solidly divided by F and V, it's not like it's the key next to it.

Oh and my wife has one of these and she's BLACK. Coincidence? I think not.
She uses it to listen to music and take calls bc her phone is fucked up and doesn't work properly if she's not using it. Makes all kinds of echo's.
