I like that an essay that advocates White supremacy is full of poor grammar and egregious factual errors. Thats unintentional irony I can applaud.

People need to stop with giving this bullshit a pass. If you are being racist just to shock or just to be racist. It makes no difference cause you are being racist
Woah, ok, that's not what I meant.

She's human scum. My main point is that I'm not sure she's salvageable. I think she knows exactly what she's doing.

This sounds like a kid who took her incoherent ramblings from her parent and put them in essay form if not than I bet that has one hell of a citations page.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that she's not being serious.

I mean it's still just as racist, but this reads to me more like something she wrote to shock people than what she actually believes.

I don't think this is shock material, this is just the result of growing up in a racist environment that so drenched in it that you you have to create your own logic to accommodate it.

Even if it's not real and was a fabricated joke essay it's not worth a pass because "It was just a prank!" because it's one of the worst essays I've read in a while and someone somewhere might take this shit seriously

TAJ

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
How is she racist? I think everyone here is forgetting the important part, she has black friends.

And by friends she means kids who she passed in the hall and didn't hiss at and make a cross with her fingers.

She raises one singular issue and without intention. Having black history month as a banner for feel good while to this day oppressing black people through the Neo-slavery system that is the penitentiary system in America is offensive. What good is it for when we still have people spewing such hate without regret or self consciousness.

Oh believe me, without it there would be even more ignorance

Like, how dumb do you have to be to teach your kid that everyone in the bible was white? Disregarding everything else this kid wrote for a second. It's like... seriously?

Wow... how could her parents fck up that badly. Thats not the voice of anyone remotely religous, the hate and message that sends. Man I wouldnt want to be that girl, second people find out who see is her life is over.

Also, no kid thinks like that without the parents being grossly negligent or active about reinforcing racial hatred.
That essay is far and away beyond casual racial ignorance.

I've lived in Louisiana my entire life. It isn't as shocking as you'd think.

Obviously an attention seeking troll with no friends and must have had only KKK and low iq Bible thumpers as playmates.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I can't

The school blamed the internet in their letter to parents.

http://www.wbrz.com/files/letter_to_parents.pdf

"In the past, dialogue remained in the classroom where ideas were heard, and students had an opportunity to grow in their thinking and reasoning. Unfortunately, there is a side to technology and the internet that short circuits this process and inhibits those discussions and that growth."

Perhaps she's not racist against other races so not fully racist? Only black-racist? Or she has one black friend, so not fully racist?

I'm trying to find the logic here.

Assuming that her definition of being racist against black people is hating all black people, the fact that she hates almost all black people makes her "not fully racist".

It's moronic, but it's the closest she gets to ever having a point, so let it ride.

No need to worry, Betsy Devos and the Dept. of Education will ensure the next generation of kids receive a well rounded education.

Well she had some shit to say about Hispanics too so I don't think it's that.

The logic is that statement was a very half-hearted attempt to cover her ass and justify her opinion so as not to be labeled at racist. It's an incredibly flimsy attempt but considering how poorly written this essay is I don't think she really cared.

This also reflects Louisiana's awful school system
This was a Catholic School, not Public.

I would love to have been the teacher reading this essay for the first time.

My shock and dismay would have been unparalleled.
