Exactly how i feel. It FINALLY feels like i have a console alternative to CS. It might not be a "true" Rainbow game... but every franchise needs to evolve (Maybe aside from CS lol) and i feel like this is a smart move to place R6:S in a truly unique category of shooter for consoles in particular.

R6:S to me is like playing a game of chess while playing a game of CoD or Destiny is like playing checkers or go fish.

Indeed. I think it's good that there is a game that really makes you think about your moves. I doubt it will be a huge succes but i think it will be popular with a few people.

Hopefully it does well but I can understand that some players just want spawn, run, shoot die repeat shooters. I still play and enjoy those (CoD, Destiny, Halo) but we (us tactical fans) really needed this! So happy it's here and that it's getting an overall good reception! Will have to see what kind of legs it has though i can see this being my main shooter for a looooong while!

One gaffer here posted (maybe in this thread) that he played for a few hours and thought it wasn't good or exciting.

But, he also said he didn't use ANY operators, which kinda sounds like he didn't give the game and all its features a fair shake.

Sound design and gunplay is so goooooooood. I can hear people walking on the roof and shoot 'em over walls.

I really like the free content unlocks all year with the season pass only giving a slight renown boost, a few skins and early unlocks for operators.

I am really happy there is a tactical shooter like this on consoles.

I love the scream attackers make when their character falls off a roof lol... so funny to hear that outside your barricaded window and watch the enemy player count grey out as a defender hahaha! sorry lol

Did you play the previous r6 games? They were much better in almost every way.

Could you shoot through walls or destroy the floors in the previous games? I only ever played them coop so I don't remember. Did they have specialists aside from heavy gunner, assault, sniper type classes? It's been years since I've played an R6. I do remember Vegas having dogs shit A.I. In T-Hunt though, and this game does not have that. I also remember that bullshit cheap ass 3rd person camera that made me not want to play online vs. at all.

Which ways in particularly please ?
Because, I'm considering myself as a RainbowSix3 veteran, and for me, it's quite clear that R6Siege is way above !
The teamplay is much more marked thanks to the fact that you can choose only one type of operator per team, reinforcing the added value of each one.
The physics opens more tactical opportunities, and the sound is stellar compared to R6:3. Plus, the game is 60fps.
And to end, the lean buttons on the R3/L3 stick should be a must have in every FPS !

Oh, and I almost forget, the GIGN is available in the game.

Yeah, I did. I played rainbow 6 on a VooDoo2 graphics card. :)

They were different, which is kind of my point. I dissagree that they were "much better in almost every way", but hey, opinions and all that..

We already have a military FPS or two that reiterates itself year in and year out, marginally improving on two aspects, and screwing up one.

I think the series is better for change in direction. It needed a shot in the arm.

As mentioned earlier, Vegas still has an active community. Why make it again?

Anybody got the season pass? How much is the permanent boost?

I am thinking about getting the season pass just to reward ubi for doing the right decision to give the future maps away for free to not divide the playerbase. They need to be applauded for that.

This is my favorite game since Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. I love winning multiplayer games with my wit and not solely my reflexes.

Love me some tactical stuffz! God I've missed games like this. I went from a meh it looks like this has Evolve written all over it to fuck yea preorder! Had a good time with the beta, when it was up anyway. They will hopefully sort that shit out...

This very much reminds me of CS from back in the day. Been too fucking long if you ask me. PS4 player so I've missed what's been available on PC but can't wait for this workday to end.

They already sorted it out. Release didn't have the connection issues the beta had.
