Brother in law got this at xmas and we played a few of the combat scenarios, brought back warm memories of some of my favourite mp gameplay ever, casino vault and lvu campus team sharpshooter/survival.
I want to buy this for PS4, however i dont have much chance to play seriously with a mic etc (young kids, wife etc), are many of you having a good experience in similar circumstances?

I play casual mp and T-hunt without a mic when the family is awake. No issue.

So just a tip for new players... knowing the maps is pretty damn important in this game. As important, is being able to call out locations to teammates. This was pretty hard for me at first because maps are pretty dense: multiple levels, sometimes multiple buildings.
You might not have noticed, but while piloting a drone or camera, the hud identifies your current location. If you keep an eye on this, it will help you learn, identify, and communicate map location more easily. Maybe.
Idk, it's been handy for me. And helps when everyone uses the same nomenclature. Almost reminds me of the Socom days when we'd memorize the Sea Snipers' maps.
I guess you could use the app too, toward that same end.

This is a good post. learning the maps comes with time and once you learn them it really makes the strategy and planning that much more fun.

I thought so, too. Can't seem to find it, though.
Little brother played his first match yesterday and during the game his character got stuck in a chair, couldn't move the entire round. Guy on his team was cussing him out the whole time (probably thought he was intentionally not moving, just spinning in circles). Very next round, said person immediately team kills him then proceeds to get team killed by another teammate then vote kicked, lol.

If that happens again, going prone will get you unstuck.
I've no idea what I'm doing wrong. I've played 10 matches and have yet to get a single kill. I did more than fine in the beta, now I'm doing next to no damage with any gun and getting killed in one.
I seriously can't play this game because I literally can't kill anyone. And I'm generally pretty good at shooters. It's got nothing to do with the tactical aspects since half the time I've outflanked, spotted and gotten several shots off first. It's not another player swooping in and getting a lucky shot from somewhere else. It's not connection (I get dropped quite often but always have one of the lowest pings).
I'm seriously at a loss. I don't feel like I should be getting killed in most cases, especially cases where I've come up behind someone and shot them as they ran the entire distance of the corridor etc.
Edit: managed 3 kills in a round. The damage in this game just makes no sense. That one match I was tanking out shots. The rest I'm dying in one to pistols. I don't get this game at all...

Buying this would be a risk since I thought the beta was alright. I cant recall, it just felt a little rough.
I like the gameplay, i like teamwork, I like no respawns. I think I was also worried about the PS4 population.
All existing modes were in the beta right?

It really is. It's relentless. And the tension builds as the time ticks away and the operators become fewer.

It's definitely worth the purchase. By far the best online shooter in years in my opinion. It's finally a thoughtful skill based shooter that requires teamwork. I know the beta was rough, but don't sleep on this game!!

the game is somewhat better on the ps4 and there will be probably a bigger community there down the road. but i don't think it's worth it to have the same game on both consoles unless you have a lot of money and don't care about spending the money.

Dont think so. I haven't noticed any population numbers. Since matchmaking was fixed I get into games really quick. Both ranked and casual.

I don't think so. I prefer Blitz' shield because it can flash more times than Montagne has flash bangs. I also like to have breaching charges as well, just in case. Had some really good teamwork going last night with Trinidad as Thermite making an entry point and me moving in with the shield, with him backing me up and taking out the tangos shooting at me. I can't see myself playing as anything but a shield user for a long time.

Does the flash cover 180 around the shield? Trying to figure out how far I need to poke the sheild in for it to be effective. Been playing with Blitz and the pistol is only really good for close range, so I've been using my drone more, and looking at cameras. Wish I could grab guns off the floor though. What do you think of Fuse?
It will drop in price over the next couple of months but it is an excellent game. A lot better than I except. It is worth the rrp even without a single player campaign

I'm a HUGE fan of the original games in the series (R6, Rogue Spear, Raven Shield). Siege is really catching my eye.

I wouldn't say we are a "huge" group,but you'll find people to play!
Playing a bit better now with some operators unlocked. Still doesn't feel quite right to me but this game has a lot going for it. There's a lot of freedom in approach for attack and defence. Wish it was first to 5 though, seems really short. Really want to like it so I'll keep at it I guess.
Would love to play with PC Gaf but my connection is too spotty. Don't want to drop out on people so I'll be stuck in casual anyway. Randoms seem (mostly) friendly enough on PC anyway so I don't mind.

That's how I bought it. I'm enjoying it and say it's probably worth it. They just need to add more maps and it will be an excellent value.
