Clan GAF must die together.

Thread title is slightly misleading, the Noob Cannon (XM-26 LSS) has a slower rate of fire than Vegas 1.Zer0 said:no auto shot guns? the whiners won
The P90 was an excellent weapon, I love that clip size. I also used the Mac11 a lot, I used to get 3-4 kills every round with that thing.rance said:I'm just glad the P90 is still there. I almost exclusively only use that gun.
Hopefully they updated the textures from Vegas 1. It was a bit of a blurry mess, especially the cartridge.
Yep, the co-op and single player games are almost identical and both sport the story cutscenes.chico said:have a question about the online coop story mode. will it be with cutscenes this time? in the first you could only play the missions...
Is framerate 60fps or just locked 30fps? Seeing as the game looks exactly the same as the first Rainbow six: Vegas I hope that they have upped it to 60fps.strange_booj said:GameInformer gave Rainbow Six Vegas 2 a 9.25 and a 9.5 as a second opinion review.
From the magazine review:
>Concept: That most elite of fictional special forces has to save the world from terrorists...in Las Vegas...again
>Graphics: I'll take this title's smoothframe rate over a few more polygons every day.
>Sound: Excellent voiceovers and snappy sound effects play their part well.
>Playability: Firing and moving is perfect. Controlling your squad, not so much.
>Entertainment: Amazing co-op, good single-player, outstanding team-based versus modes - what's not to like?
>Replay Value: High
I also added the COMPLETE list of weapons in the OP.

I would agree with you mostly but it did have a some unfair advantages over other weapons. Personally, I never cared if people used it, hell I even busted it out on occasions.Zer0 said:iam sick of the ppl who think the xm 26 lss is a "noob cannon" its a shotgun, alas short range combat, all the whiners who use automatic rifles with long range dont whine when they can shoot someone at the other side of the map
the xm-26 lss is a good shotgun, but has his shortcomings, limited range, little magazine capacity
seriously i use all the weapons, but in short range combat i like the xm26 and every fucking time i use that gun a whiner comes into scene
Just play in player matches. You're always together and you still gain XP points. The only benefit of Ranked matches is raising your truskill and how many people really care about that? They did add the function of inviting friends to Ranked games which is nice. It will just be annoying having to reinvite them after every game. The first Vegas as far as player count was probably 90% playing player matches, 10% playing ranked.cjelly said:No party system?
How else will buddies stay together?
Just seems like a massive oversight for a game that is as online-focused as Rainbox Six to not have a party system.strange_booj said:Just play in player matches. Totally, it should be a standard in this type of game.cjelly said:Just seems like a massive oversight for a game that is as online-focused as Rainbox Six to not have a party system.

I don't remember the specific reason but M4s, M16 and others of that class are no longer allowed in Rainbow Six games.Opus Angelorum said:
That is a variant of the M4 with an ACOG Scope, I didn't see this mentioned on the list of new weapons.
I'm right in thinking there were no M4 Assault Rifles in the first game?
There's some issue between Ubi & Colt, although I've never heard anything concrete as to what the issue exactly is.strange_booj said:I don't remember the specific reason but M4s, M16 and others of that class are no longer allowed in Rainbow Six games.
You're right though that does look A LOT like an M4. I wonder what it is?

You will be able to ask Therien about Vegas 2 - and anything else that interests you - this Friday, 14th March, from 4pm GMT onwards. That's 11am EST and 8am PST, for those of you in America trying to figure it out.
I think that's the M468 which is new to the series. It was put in specifically to skirt around whatever issues they have with the M4 and M16.strange_booj said:I don't remember the specific reason but M4s, M16 and others of that class are no longer allowed in Rainbow Six games.

Supposedly they're not in the game because Colt was suing H&K for copyright infringement, and since H&K had the most guns in Vegas 1...BCD2 said:I think that's the M468 which is new to the series. It was put in specifically to skirt around whatever issues they have with the M4 and M16.
