Rare Replay |OT| Jetpacks and Googly Eyes, Here We Come

I haven't been able to finish more than one level of Blast Corps without it freezing on me :(

That's weird. I played the digital version for two hours yesterday, and 100%'d about 15 levels without a single problem. Have you got the digital or disc version?

Just beat Perfect Dark - I don't think I've played the campaign for 15 years, and I've forgotten so much of it... like that the game has disguises. Didn't forget that fucking explosive crate escort mission, though. Wow.

This credits music is boss.

Got a fair way through Blast Corps, but some of those levels are brutal if you haven't perfected the truck powerslide thing.

Just spent an hour on it and it's been perfect for me. In fact all games have been spot on. No issues with anything. That's the digital version.

Does anyone have a problem launched Jetpac Refuelled through Rare Replay? By that, I mean in-game. It takes me to the Xbox Store and then I have to select Play. It won't return me to Rare Replay by holding the button either. I've heard a few people are having issues with this game.

Finishing the game on Agent doesn't count as beating the game to me. Now do Special Agent and Perfect Agent!

;)

So is battletoads possible to beat? I know that seems like a silly question but there is a slight lag with emulation and I can not for the life of me beat the level before the queen when you are riding the big wheel thing and the portal is following you.

sure because you can choose infinite continues

Blah, killer instinct gold is meh tbh
Nostalgia yes but the 1st killer instinct is still GOAT, thunder the god isn't even in this game

Cobra triangle is pretty fun , lol that bomb mission , just going in circles

That doesn't matter lol I've been trying for hours now and no matter what I do I can't seem to figure out the timing. I am hoping I just suck but I know when I play mike Tyson in punch out on emulator I can't beat him, but on console I can easily. Was hoping this is not the same case

I can barely beat Clinger Winger on a NES controller without lag, with lag on a non-NES controller might seem impossible for me.=O

Apparently Wired had the game crash on them four times, so I'm not alone.

I've been dealing with a potentially defective external drive, so I wondered if that was causing it.

@Cookie Monster: I had the same issue with Jetpack Refueled last night. It worked okay, but I couldn't exit using the menu button and did have to launch it via the store. I thought the latter was normal.

Conker controls like a snake having a seizure with camera angles that make the town drunk look like he's steady on his feet. Truly abysmal stuff. How on earth did Rare go from near pitch-perfect platformer controls in Banjo-Kazooie to THIS? The game is hilariously absurd enough to still warrant plenty of merit, but actually playing it is getting real old, real fast.

Is there a 6 GB patch for the disc version? I swear that's what it said and I refused it to install the game. And now I can't get it to download it.

I can't beat that part either.

It said it had to download 6.2 Gigs when I first put the disc in. Still downloading, though most of the 360 games are available now.

It's just a little more floaty than Banjo, still an excellent game though.

Didn't have any issues with the camera.

I don't remember downloading a 6GB patch and I'm connected to the Internet. I feel like I downloaded a patch in the MB range that went super fast than an install.

Bummer to hear there's performance issues, Nuts and Bolts and Viva Pinata are the games I would play the most. You'd think Microsoft would have learned their lesson about releasing stuff that isn't working.

I wonder how much better it'll realistically get. It's common knowledge that BC is often asked for, rarely used, it's hard to imagine they'll spend too much time fine-tuning it.

Edit: If I pick it up, there's no reason to play the first VP over Trouble in Paradise, right?

I was told there would be a 6.2gb patch for all ten executables combined, but then there was nothing. They just installed.

Weird the first thing it said was 6.2 GB I refused and installed rare replay. Then Booted the game and it said it needed a 252 MB patch. And it never downloaded that. This whole user interface needs an overhaul.

I'm having a hell of a time getting these games to install. Two hours in and I only have PDZ installed. Banjo Kazooie has been sitting here stuck at 50%.

Playing Banjo-Kazooie and loving it. So much better than Donkey Kong 64, which I also played recently. (I played both of these on N64 in the 90s.) Looking forward to playing Banjo-Tooie for the first time after I'm finished with this one, and also Perfect Dark, which is definitely the first person shooter I've spent the most time with in my life. I basically bought this collection for these three games. The rest are just a nice bonus.

Does nuts and bolts include the fix for being able to lift yourself up with the wand access all of the parts early on?

I just checked my Bandwidth Usage in the Network Settings, and it shows that it's used about 6 gigs in the past couple hours... Everything but Rare Replay itself and Perfect Dark Zero are 100% downloaded/installed.

I can't believe it takes so long, even when buying on disc!!

It'll probably be short lived, but...

Weird bugs, having issues installing some of the games, also had the sound completely cut out on KI Gold after like 6 seconds on Character Select. Anyone else?

Playing the game inspired me to pull out the old Xbox and try Conker: Live & Reloaded after not playing it for many years. The game is still GORGEOUS. The transitions are kind of awkward because of the need for loading but if they fixed that on Xbox One it would have been a really neat addition to the compilation.

I'm feeling like the controls are probably tighter in L&R too (just a guess - I haven't actually played it).

What was censored in that version? Just some language, or were actual scenes edited too?

never played any banjo game nor perfect dark nor conker, im in for a treat, loving blast corps just like a did back in day. gonna play jet force after it gets it patch fuck them controls man

Do the 360 games install from disc or are they downloaded. The install process is ridiculously slow like a download but I can hear the disc spinning. Also the X1 won't automatically begin installing anything in the queue and I have to manually restart each game multiple times.

Blast corp is great though !

Ugh... Really wanted to play Jet Force Gemini, but can't wrap my head around the controls anymore. Gonna have to wait until the patch is released.

Playing Conker for the first time, liking it quite a bit. Wish I could play without the camera's X-axis inverted, though.

The language was censored in the single player, and there was at least one part from the original that was cut from the game. I'm not sure if it was the only thing that was cut though.

KI Gold needs the bonus options unlocked for true fun. But I have no idea how to translate the original N64 ZBALAZ code to X1. Any ideas?

I'd just like to say that my stance has not changed on one thing even all these years and a remake later. FUCK THE FAN SEGMENT IN CONKERS. lol

I'll give it a shot when mine comes in. I can usually make it to the end of BT on Nes.

Clinger winger- hold the direction that you want to go (right left up down), and transition super fast- I try to not touch the diagonal. Any direction other than forward from the wheel will slow it down a lot.

One of the silly tips that works if you have a controller with silly directional- pause- hold the direction, unpause. (I had to do this before installing a joystick with a better gate on arcade).

I just grabbed a giant rat by the balls and repeatedly punched him in the dick until he turned into a pile of bones in Battletoads Arcade.
