C. I have no interest in most of the games, but it shows that we will get more current gen support than the Switch ever had (like pretty much all games showed were new/current gen)

Ehhh not much was announced that appealed to me.

C at most.

B.

Cronos the New Dawn was the highlight for me. But Square Enix new action-rpg looked really good too as well as Monster Hunter Stories 3. P3 Reload and Outlaws is nice to have too on a rainy day.

Unfortunately the Direct was filled with lots of filler trash that nobody gives a fuck about. FF7 Remake and Elden Ring still missing in action but I suspect Nintendo wants to give those games the spotlight in a proper Direct.

Would rate D but last 2 games made it a B, so very solid, especially considering its just a partners showcase.
Suprisingly SW:O footage looked much improved vs first switch2 trailer too so big plus for that.

C -

3 new reveals. None of them really set the house on fire. MHS3, OT Zero, and Adventures of Elliot. Persona is a good add for people actually wanting 3rd party stuff on Switch, which is the point of this direct.

That camping game alone dropped it from a C to a C - . I can't go into D territory with 3 decent new reveals. It was ... fine for a small partner showcase. The highlight was Octopath. It didn't have sky high expectations and was appropriate for the most part.

I've gone with a C.

I wasn't expecting it, at all, considering how long it took for a PS5/Series patch - Apex Legends being here was a megaton for me.

Another megaton - Sparking Zero. Considering the lack of discount sales for the game so far I'll probably buy day one. How TF are they getting this game running on the OG Switch?

Highlight of this Nintendo Direct. This game would have been absolutely impossible on the regular Switch. The multi player is the cherry on top.

For me it would be a B based on games I want. Octopath 0, Elliot, P3 and New Katamari are definite buys. Maybe MH Stories 3, and Cronos as well. If you aren't into JRPGs I can see this direct being awful for you though.

Partner Showcase so I didn't bother watching. I've seen all announcements though and there's nothing for me. So had I watched I imagine it'd be the lowest score possible.

S for Square Enix.

Seriously, they could have spared us the suffering and just announced the two Sqex games. The rest had like 3 vaguely interesting games. Now we know why they aired this on July 31.

Anyway, why do zoomers hate gameplay? How do you even come up with the idea of that fire-lighting "game" and decide to go ahead with it?

The Adventures of Elliot piqued my interest but I'll probably get it on my PS5 Pro. Other than that nothing was much interesting. Maybe Octopath Traveller 0 but I might be done with that series after I finish 2. So I give it a D.

I was expecting much better third party support, instead it seems like the same path as Switch 1. Overall one of the worst directs I've ever seen.

Don't agree, Outlaws looks really bad imho and severly downgraded vs. current gen.

It runs, sure
