That looks great. Thanks for pointing in the good direction. This looks even better:

Much higher polling rate, response, 6 vibration motors, etc.

Edit: Argh... back buttons instead of paddles. 🤦🏻
Yeah, that's 3rd party controllers for ya, when you think the controller has everything you need, there are some compromises here and there.

And not everyone has the same perferences plus size of the hands, so the controller I like, might be just okayish for you.

We're doing controllers OT with Astray Astray and BennyBlanco BennyBlanco so there wil be place to discuss them throughly.

Maybe others have more recommendations. Feel free to pitch in my dudes. Calling in my cavalry, lmao.

analog_future analog_future are you interested to join in? Astray Astray might add you to our DM
group.

I ended up ordering a ZD O+ Excellence with some accesories, I'm intrigued to test how it compares to the Elite v2.

wait what? What's bad about the Dpad? I have a Wolverine V3 on Xbox, and that dpad is godlike...
it feels like if you turned the click stick of a NeoGeo controller into a dpad.
Just for me, not for everybody. I want an NES style dpad. I hate the weird dome thing.

Lmao it's such an emotional roller coaster.

All these so called esport features I will never use. Sounds like marketing gibberish to me. I care about build quality and ergonomics.

Nice, do let us now.

Edit: BTW G7 Pro can map any keys on controller, keyboard or mouse on additional buttons and regular buttons. I confirmed it in the app simpatico simpatico

Sorry it took me so long, I slept in after work lmao.

If you can jump from Apex 4 to 5 it is worth it. Additional back paddles, more compact shape, and sticks latency goes from 50-60ms to like 5ms. We can now measure stick latency btw.

https://gamepadla.com/ is your friend :D.

If anyone has any questions, fire away.
Looking at that site it doesn't seem like there's stick latency for say a DualShock 4 unless I'm misreading things. Most of my modern gamepadding is for Rocket League. I've settled on DS4, tried a few other things including older Razer Wolverine and the Xbox Elites (Razer failed on feel for the most part, Xbox failed on general reliability, lack of QA, lack of accurate inputs, total trash, but always loved the Xbox form factor).

I forget the exact details but there was some USB manipulation to get the DS4 latency as low as possible when wired in Windows. I'm probably just going to buy a new DS4 soon as the current one is a bit worn down but I could probably be convinced to roll the dice on a premium third-party pad.

There are some Russian drivers for overclocking controllers but it requires to basically install unknown software and I think you have to deactivate some security features in Windows. It's no go for me, current third-party pads do just fine without installing unknown drivers.

There may not be stick latency for DualShock 4 because someone would have to build or buy Prometheus 82 for that or have it and DS4 - that's how they measure all these controllers stick latency.

Some may wonder if it's really worth to test it at all, even if they have one imho.

https://ko-fi.com/gamepadla here you can buy an assembled testing unit for $199 lmao.
