Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8k PC

Have you tried them?
The answer to that is obviously no.

Lost my elite 1 controller because the bumper plastic cracking, and my elite 2 I have to slightly push out the prong on the top of the faceplate next to the left bumper so it won't stick.

I really do hope they change the design, it's weird how fragile the bumpers are next to the triggers and everything else on it being good.
The paddles are god like and the weight is perfect. But so far everything else the Razer does better.

The answer to that is obviously no.

Probably. Maybe we can get the inside scoop on vape pens though

What are you basing this on personal experience or Reddit? Because apart from one battery bloat with a Razer blade 15 (out of around 7 laptops) none of their products have given me issues.

I smashed my screen on a razer 16 2023 out of warranty and the sent me an upgrade to the 2024 model for nothing.

I have an Asus G14 2025 and while is nice the build quality is miles away from Razer.
I love my 2022 G14 a lot more than my Razer, but granted that was circa 2012, and one of its biggest annoying problems was a buzzing from the speakers that I inadvertently fixed when upgrading to an SSD many years past its prime... there was literally a case screw that was just too loose.

Anyway, bought the V1 of this thing at the end of 2020 and while there wasn't anything that wrong with it, it just wasn't as good as a DualShock 4 for Rocket League. Not the disaster the dealing with Xbox Elite was. I just can't bring myself to shell out for random controllers that somehow don't measure up in pure performance.

The Elite 2 is my favourite controller, the paddles are god like. But the bumpers have gone again on my 4th. Its unacceptable.
Bumpers must be difficult to engineer or something.
I have 2 Elite Series 2 a black and a white. No issues. But I hear tales of broken bumpers all the time.
I recently bought the new 8bitdo controller and out of the box the right bumper was stuck. I managed to pry it out and now it works again. But sometimes It will stick. Not a reliable controller. :(

What's up with the bad bumpers?

8K polling rate is game changer in wireless mode and a high framerate monitor. You peasants know nothing!

8k polling rate controller works best with 8k monitor at 30hz. When you match the Ks your gaming is pure cinema.

No 8k monitor is not useful, we just need to use the 8k polling on a 2k monitor powered by my 4k gpu in my 6k pc.

You peasants just need cough up the k before dismissing razer v3 pro 8k

You can use synapse now instead of the controller app
I loved the xbox controller app. synapse is too heavy for the PC I am not a fan of. even if you don't have it auto start, it still has its services running on the background.

I think I will never sell the V3 pro controller ever. sounds like its gonna be a rare controller if its being replaced by this ( to be honest, this is a downgrade for me )

the 8k polling rate means nothing to me to be honest. much lighter, making it feels like its cheap ( its not since its build same as V3 pro ) but the feeling of it, plus no rumble. No xbox logo... does that mean its not officially compatible with Xbox hardware and Xbox Store natively?

Overheat, can you try and run any game like forza if you have game pass from the XBOX store. Will it run natively ?

I remember a year or so back, I tried to use my DS controller for the Xbox store to run Forza, but it wasn't recognized. Not sure if that was fixed.

Will try forza tonight as for 8k polling rate my V3 only go to 1k wired weird.

oh i think you are right. it does only 1k wired. not sure why I thought it does 8k ( not that I care ) but try it and give us your honest opinion if you can feel the difference

8k pooling is the real deal! I miss the rumble but the texture of the controller is superior and it's so light weight and forza horizon work great on GP

Glad it works well with game pass .

Not gonna buy it though. The Wolverine v3 pro I got off Facebook for 100$ CAD. It works like a charms

Not convinced of 8k polling. The only way I maybe will be able to tell if I use my cod / bf settings on the controller to try it out.

It could be the real deal as you said but I need an actual demo to try and tell.

Rumble isn't the end of the world for competitive fps games but for other games ? Not having it sufks. What the fuck were they thinking ? Are they that cheap not to add at least a decent or even basic rumble when they are charging more than double of any other controller in the market with Hall effect / TMR ?

I've been using a Razer Wolverine Ultimate wired controller on PC for years. Probably the best controller I've ever had. When I upgrade it will most likely be another Razer controller.

After 3 xbox elites i learned my lesson that it does not matter if i buy a 150 or a 50 buck controller because both will end up destroying themselves after about 2-3 years heavy use, usually the triggers/bumpers, double registering face buttons and stickdrift on non HE/TMR sticks.

This looks like the ultimate pc controller
8k pooling rate and TMR joysticks
Ordered one will be here on the 19 I will give my impressions then.
Damn this morherfucker has 4 back buttons like steam deck but also an additional 2 bumpers on the center? Fuck I wish this was the PS5 and Xbox standard controllers that would make console gaming for shooters like marvel rivals and overwatch massively better. No more stopping your aim (letting go of right analogue stick) to press the face buttons because you have 6 additional buttons that can be pressed without stopping the use of either analog stick. Game changer.

Betcha PS6 and Xbox next controllers will be inferior. Well be lucky if we get 2 back buttons let alone 4 + 2 additional bumpers. Fuck console makers.

Looks very interesting. I've never been a Razer fan but wouldn't mind trying it out.
Don't their products have reliability issues often though?

Wait a second, this controller IS TWO HUNDRED US DOLLARS?!?! :messenger_astonished:
It's an 8k controller bro for your $20,000 8k TV. $200 is nothing compared to that.

Had about a month on mine, best controller I've ever owned. The clicky button are godlike.

Its a tiny bit smaller than id like, other than that its perfect.

I always turn rumble off so that a plus for me. I think the xbox version has haptics if you need rumble.

This has HAL effect sticks and clicky mechanical buttons so I'm hoping it last longer than the elites I've been through.

Razer controllers are crap and their software gives you cancer.

My review from March after testing both against my usual Xbox Elite Pro v2:

"I tried the Gulikit KK3 MAX ( https://gulikit.com/productinfo/1130420.html ) today and:

  • It feels good on the grip, with nice surface touch, lighter in weigth and a bit smaller than the Elite.,
  • Thumbsticks are fine but nothing out of the ordinary. They have hall effect and metal rings, have a nice subtle concave curvature but they are not interchangeable and there is no convex/dome option.,
  • The back paddles are very good, very similar to the Elite, but even more firm in place. They are easy to press and A LOT better than the Razer Wolverine V3 back buttons. You can choose between different configuration and they also have a 'Dome' paddle option like some PS controllers, but I prefer the classic Xbox style paddles configuration.,
  • The ABXY buttons are very nice. Soft on the touch, easy to press and less noisy than the Elite ones. Razer Wolverine V3 mechanical buttons are supposed to be better on paper but they are not, they are harder to press and not as comfortable as these.,
I think the 'Rumble HD' mode only makes sense in Switch, as it is a Nintendo feature. In PC it just feels like normal vibration but lighter.Overall, at 69,95€ shipping included, less than half the price of an Elite v2 and less than a third of the Razer Wolverine V3, the KK3 MAX is a steal with an astonishing amount of value: 1000Hz polling rate wire and wireless, hall effect thumbsticks and triggers, 10 min autopilot recording, motion aim assist using gyroscope, several rumble modes, compatibility with Switch, Bluetooth, Android, IOS, ...

  • The hair triggers mode is pretty good. I barely use it but I would say these are better than the Elite, as they are quick and have a nice click but still feature a softer stop which feels nicer to press.,
  • Vibration is good, stronger than the Wolverine V3 but not as strong as the Elite, which seems to be the strongest on the market. The Elite also has more 'range', meaning it also has more small and subtle vibration effects. If the vibration strength of the Elite were 1-10, the KK3 MAX would be like 2-9.,
  • Everything is very easy to configure without any software. Just pressing a config button in combination with others you can configure everything with a vibration feedback for each option. Honestly, I was positively surprised at how instant and smart their solution is compared to the typical software configuration.,
  • It has light rings around the thumbsticks and several lighting modes . I don't care for this and always have all lights off in my controllers, but as light effects go, these are nice, besides on/off they also have modes to light up based on thumbstick direction or vibration.,

looks quite nice and has the elite style back paddles. I might pick one up at that price.

We'll have to disagree on the V3. The buttons are the best I've ever used on a pad. Maybe eat your greens if you find them hard to press.

Also no cancer so far.

Edit: Looking at the user reviews seems like your too good to be true controller is just that: its got reliability issues as reported around 40% of the user base. Pass. Not swapping one unreliable piece of shit (Elite) for another one thanks.
