Red Letter Media |OT| of Movies, Murderers, and Pizza Rolls

I'll likely watch the HitB before the movie to see if it's even worth it as none of the trailers have interested me.

Coincidentally I watched the BvS HitB before the movie, and even going in with an open mind I was bored off my mind with an hour to go and left.

Wow, Jay said he was more entertained by X-Men than Civil War, what the hell. After the tepid response to Civil War I assumed they would tear this to shreds. I guess they enjoy schlock more than most other things!

The ending of the video is great though. Some funny stuff all round this episode, even if Mike's thoughts on superhero movies are becoming less and less relevant to me.

Mike likes the schlock, what a surprise.

I can understand his like as opposed to "Jurassic World" (him seeing "Spielbergian" things being the biggest WTF thing in that review). The ridiculousness had it's own merit in the end.

I am surprised how often Mike and Jay seem to miss fairly obvious plot points. Like they clearly show that the Oscar Issac mutant had a healing factor and that is why old Apocalypse wanted to transfer over. I have seen them miss some other in your face plot points in the past and have to wonder if they just got back from the bathroom or pretend they didn't understand it for comedic effect. However the Apocalypse thing was the first thing in the movie.

I am also surprised they didn't comment on the helmet in the Weapon X facility. It was soooo cheap. Like Singer stole it from the set of "Space Cop."

I like the x-men too much to be entertained by the schlock version of them that shows up in these films, yet I still enjoy the cartoon version immensely. I'm not sure what the difference is but the cartoon nailed something that the movies have only flirted with at times.

I can't wait to check out the new episode. I had some issues with the movie and I want to see who agrees with me on the show. Anyone who doesn't is dead to me.

Agree with mostly Mike and somewhat Jay about X-Men. Its just a fun, dumb movie with some occasionally weird shit.

They did say that Civil War is a better-made movie, but it didn't appeal as much to their b-movie schlock sensibilities as this one did.

I'm actually more interested in seeing it now, because I thought DOFP was too self-serious and sort of boring.

They finally put up the clown stream on YouTube a few days ago. And I finally got to see the origin of it. That was amazing. Jack totally underestimated peoples full wallets and need to see someone make a fool of themselves on the internet. Next time Jack, $500 at least. $1000 if you need to. You know someone totally would have done it.

Someone reuploaded "The United States of No" (which is referenced in "The People vs George Lucas" episode of Half in the bag) to dailymotion.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4da965_red-letter-media-the-united-states-of-no_fun

This video hasn't been reuploaded by RLM since blip went down and I don't see them reuploading it since they used music that will surely trigger youtube copyright stuff.

I wonder if it was just for comedic effect or if Mike didn't know about the "end" button on the keyboard or for some reason the website didn't let him use it.

First time I've ever seen it, it was pretty good. I've seen the clip of the Vader No! scene but it was still great.

So are they actually doing a Plinkett review for Force Awakens or was that just a joke because they enjoyed the movie?

I know what I'm going to try and ask Rich and Jack in the Wednesday night stream. LOL
1: Rich won't be there on Wednesday. Because he's on holiday for the week.
2: DO NOT ASK THEM ABOUT IT: They don't want to talk about it and will ignore your comment. You're comment will be deleted. And if you keep asking it, you'll be perma banned.

Sorry to come across as a dick, but they've already had people been bugging them about it since it was announced.

According to the subreddit, I guess some porn guy asked 4chan for advice on what to make and /tv suggested an RLM parody. So, yeah, all roads lead to 4chan.

Rematching United States of Nooooo for the first time in forever, and this, I really think, is the first thing I ever saw from RLM.

I love it. edit: goddamn, it's so great. one of the best things they've done. I wish their earlier stuff was this good, but a lot of the early pinkett stuff is just... eh.

Anyway, what stuff from then on is worth preserving (not HitB, BotW, Reviews, ect). Like, I mean Science Man and other small one-offs are worth preserving?
