Nintendo hasn't announced if they are doing a live presentation or digital yet have they? If they are doing a live one, I imagine they'll wait till then to showcase NX. Digital they may leak some info ahead of E3
Nintendo hasn't said anything about their E3 plans, yet.

In 2014 they announced their E3 plans on April 29th.
In 2015 they announced their E3 plans on May 13th.

We could easily be waiting another month before finding out.

I can't believe youngsters are so thirsty for information, they're actually following and giving life to these obviously fake, uninteresting "leaks".

At this stage, I don't believe anyone actually trusts even a fraction of this shit.

BUT ITS FUN. Each new bullshit rumor adds to the fire. The discussion. The hopes and dreams. That is why they are followed.

Here's a question for Thraktor, blu, fourth storm and all the other techies in this thread.

What's the possibility of NX using Bristol Ridge APU that AMD put out this year? Would that wreck the jaguar or puma? Is it affordable? It's 28nm.

Thanks to a certain user for PM'ing me this and posting it earlier lol.

If this guy had all this info he would just come out with it. This piece-mealing shit he's doing just shows he's doing this for attention.

I thought the leaking was banned on Reddit now? I thought everything had to go through a mod before posting, or has this theoretically been "vetted"?

There's Nintendo_NX and NintendoNX boards, apparently this guy failed validation on the one without underscore, which is the one cracking down on post content.

Yeah. I get people who talk about disappointment, but it's still fun to hype and discuss, even knowing it'll never be that good. And honestly, disappointment that something didn't live up to your wildest dreams will last for a day at most generally, whereas hyping provides entertainment for much longer. General disappointment can last longer, but it'll occur whether you hype or not TBH

Ring ding ding ding we have a winner. Lol

That's all they're doing. They like the attention and they like to throw the steak out and pull it in before you eat it for fun.

Supposedly he did have proven connections to NoE, but he wasn't verified because his proof was insufficient to show that he knew NX stuff that he was claiming. For what it's worth

I mean, in fairness, it's not like legit leakers can't be doing it for attention either. And there have been legit leakers who have piece-mealed info in the past (The guy who did a lot of legit leaks for XY, including sky battles, specific pokemon down to names and evolution methods (he got Malimar right and even included the flip 3DS to evolve method), kanto starters being obtained and more, is one example)

Well whatever it's worth, and no matter how silly tree detectivism is, posting a photo of your own office car park would be asking for trouble.

Would be interesting to get their input.

trees, office, two monitors, black bars. :P

lmao

Stop giving this dude (the leaker, not you, smoker) the time of day.

Did he know all of the info at first or did he learn the info as time passed and then leaked it?

Hello,

can someone explain to me why we had a supergameboy and the Gamecube Gameboyplayer and have no such thing for wii/wiiu? I have no technical background. I thought these players are technical a gameboy without a display, so i could make a 3ds with no screen for the wiiu and later nx.

Did you just realize you couldn't make a thread, and then came in here to post your thread topic instead?

Don't know why there's still people out there trying to "leak" NX stuff after the massive fake leaks with those NX controllers. I simply will not believe a single thing anymore until it's officially revealed by Bill Trinnen wearing hot dog costume.

People are generally more cautious after that controller fiasco.

I should take that in to account, but I think I ragged on the design and almost said I wouldn't be interested in NX if that rumor was it. I think the phillips tech that is rumored to be paired with whatever mobile is coming next or next after that is interesting, but that controller was nothing like what it's suppose to be then.

People shuold never believe controller rumors. Some people guessed parts of the n64, just not the shape. GC people were a mess on. People were fairly and suprisingly accurate about wii tech or the design. WiiU totally off again after a certain point and the basic design was so simple there wasn't much to go on after talking about it.

No, sorry if it seames that way. Two pages back, we discussed how it is not easy or impossible to develop games for the nx and the nxhandheld if they had not the same processing unit. So i asked for enlightenment how it was possible then and not today.

They are going to be power hungry and require a lot more cooling performance compared to Puma+ or a comparable ARM Chip, plus the size of the cores at 28nm would limit the amount of on die space for the GPU. The Bristol Ridge desktop chips are supposed to have 8 Compute Units and 4 Excavator cores at 95 watts of power draw. You'd end up with quite a bit of a performance gap between Bristol Ridge's GPU and the PS4.

Interesting. The source is pretty adamant on it being that APU. The console box will likely have to be Xbox One sized to disperse that heat ab cool it.

Would the 4 excavator cores match or exceed 8 jaguar cores?

This thread has turned for the weird.

First I thought it was about some apparent "verified user" stating the NX using x86 architecture, and now posters seem to be talking primarily about PS4k all of a sudden.

You guys can't even make up your minds when it comes to the subject of what's being speculated.

We may get our news sooner, namely so Nintendo can avoid potentially getting overshadowed by VR & the PS4K.

Not going to happen. We will get nx information before, but full reveal with games at e3. I believe it will blow us away.
Thats what i think, still could be wrong.

Psvr is already known and ps4k will do nothing special, beside showing a small upgrade of their gfx. When looking games xbox1 vs ps4, I can't see much different to be honest.

Still Sony could blown us away with games for ps4.

Maybe a good idea Sony update their move controller so it will work like htc vive controllers.

Is he literally going to post the NX hoax pic and say HAHAHA trolled you all

That's what all of these leakers plans are - see how many people they can fool and then say 'gotcha!' and feel all good about it. Not gonna work this time.

The short answer is that the tech is a lot more expensive to do that than it was for game boy or GBA. Both of those were really old and cheap tech when they came out. The other thing is I don't think the market for it exists anymore. More people own a 3DS than Wii U by a factor of 5 (if not more). The overlap between the two is probably a lot bigger than before, also. They probably wouldn't make all that much money, if they made any at all, doing so.

This isn't an n64 situation where they were holding back into/techniques and being super selective. This is more like WII a few months out and back then SDKs seems a lot better and more spread out as big and small devs were talking at this point. It's pre reveal of things but if this comes out in the next 8 months they are behind to me.

That too I'm hoping it ls a Vulkan variant, makes no sense to use the OpenGL variant they had been nor could it provide the performance they need or want.

I'm actually hoping for more Vulkan support too. Currently Nintendo is now part of the Vulkan working group in Khronos so it gives me some hope that they're investing in that.

Anyone with an SDK would know as well, which why I'm surprised rumors didn't confirm a fact that should be obvious.

The probably are, I gave my reasons for why the heavy support is needed. The most basic being nintendo is anal about fps performance a so a console that would do PS4/X1 ports couldn't be some middling POS like the X1 is.

Doop is Tre still around? I'd look in to what he is saying if he is and has gone beyond rumors.
