Is there an emphasis on 1v1 moments where players have to get past defenders using a fighting game like button combo or is it more positional focused?

There's a button (I think it was L2) to get into a dribble stance, from there you can press X (I think it was) and directions to flick or dribble around players. There's tricks like rainbow flicks.
Shooting is almost fully aimed manually, it's quite difficult to get used to. You have to actually aim at where you want it to go in the goal and put a spin on it, or you can aim at the wall or post to make it bounce back and fire it back again.
Passing is manual too, it's very easy to miss lol.

The game is excellent. I love how boring and parochial so many people are here. Can't see the difference between slop and good mechanics so just moan about everything.

Had lots of fun with it. Look forward to release.

Have been having so much fun with this over the weekend! Lvl 15 or something now and playing in ranked silver 1, soon gold 3 or if its 4. Dont want the beta to end

Just made it to gold after almost 11 hours, so much fun. Once you get to higher ranks people actually pass and can control the ball well. Buying this for sure on release, especially since it is from a well known developer who have a great track record making unique and fun games.

Well, I had pretty much no hopes for this but tried it anyway. It's actually really fun. I suck but it's fun. My biggest critique is how hard it is to see my reticle. It just kind of blends into the background. Hopefully we can get some customization in that aspect.
