For the most part, I can get behind this. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has a similar issue. A great prologue the first time, but bloody awful in a replay. It would be better if the game kicked off during the stocks scene on subsequent playthroughs.

I think GOY deserves some props for throwing you straight into the game.

From what I hear DS2 is a bit unfair and obnoxious in its level design, but even then I have yet to meet anyone outright telling that its not even worth playing. They just say its inferior to DS1-3 but great game regardless

Don't tell anyone, but I have not beat DS3, played a fair amount, and I prefer DS2..... Shhhhh

Never played it. It's that bad? A Zelda game?

The game itself is good, but the intro is notoriously soporific and it moves with the brisk pace of of a drifting glacier.
