The NX is like the industry's best kept secret right now. I'm still not convinced that the Eurogamer report is 100% accurate. It feels too cumbersome. I can't wait to finally know for sure!

I actually don't think the amount of information that we've had on the NX has been greatly different from any other system.

We heard mention of it early because Nintendo had wanted to please investors, but it's a given that a video game hardware manufacturer is always planning new video game hardware, so the fact that they were working on a new system shouldn't have been new or surprising. The family of systems comments was the unusual thing, since it gave us some idea of what the console would be when we normally would have just had the assumption that one would eventually be coming.

As for what we have now, we've got a bunch of information on what the system is that's been corroborated by different people. Maybe I haven't been following enough, but hasn't that been true for most recent systems?

I think now that Sony has revealed the PS4 Pro and Slim and MS has revealed the Xbone S, we will get some news soon. Wouldn't he just state that then, why say that he's going on vacation if you're really going to work? I think it's actually the perfect time for Nintendo to have the NX reveal during TGS, because it allows 3rd party companies at the show to show off their games and it keeps people guessing on what's really going on because so many Nintendo related gaming sites and reporters are all seemingly on vacation all of a sudden.

It could be reaching but it definitely feels like something is about to happen!

One silly thing that suddenly made me doubt the detachable split controllers rumour and how they are used...

..wrist straps.

Given how careful Nintendo were with health and safety in regards to the Wii remote by insisting people wear wrist straps in case they threw them by accident..would they really forego them with split motion controllers on the NX?

You are hardly going to want two wrist straps hanging off the device when the conrollers are attached to the screen..and you're not going to want the hassle of connecting straps to them every time they are disconnected.

Yes, they could delay it but they've actually said March and that's probably the last official thing they've said about it apart from that they're making it and Zelda is on it.

So if it's out in March (and up to now it is,) we should have an announcement soon.

Supposedly, some Nintendo of Canada GM said NX would be revealed in the Fall.

“We decided to focus on Zelda. We’ll talk about the NX fall. At that time, it will be 100% NX.”

Sure and repeat the same lackluster launch as the Wii U right? They are taking their time this time around they have made a file card for how not to launch a system without proper software so don't be surprised if this thing gets delayed to summer or Christmas 2017

During Nintendo's Financial Results Briefing for Fiscal Year Ended March 2016 held April 28, 2016, Tatsumi Kimishima said this:

One can of course speculate if he meant calendar year or fiscal year. But likely calendar year. A reveal of NX after December 31, 2016, would be a delay of the reveal.

It's probably going to cost Nintendo next to nothing and sell buttloads, so I do think it makes sense for the investors to be more interested in that.

They will announce the NX and it will be 8 inches with a 540p screen so one will follow the other.
