Report: RTX 5090 Priced at $1999

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Difference between 500p in Dragon age vs PC is pretty obvious.

The one on the left reminds me of the PSX. :goog_relieved:

I doubt it, everything but frame generation run on every RTX GPU, even ray reconstruction. What they would even offer with DLSS4
4x frame generation, i bet their explanation will go something like this:

"We at Nvidia like to maintain high standards for features that Nvidia offers. The new features will not be available on prior cards because each optical flow accelerator on the 4090 only provides about 98% of the performance of the 50series successors."

"Given our high standards we consider anything below 99% of performance of our fancy new Blackwell optical flow accelerators to offer insufficient results for these new features, as you clearly see Lovelace cards fail to meet the cutoff point by 1% and we cannot let you try enabling it since it would result in a substandard experience for out customers and we dont want that."

"What do you mean that we dont mind selling cards that run out of VRAM?"

Sad thing is at this point, there is not a single game in my opinion worth getting that for 2000 bucks.

Looking forward to more mainstream ones as always. Hope AMD’s supposed 8000 series will be good as rumors, and 5080/5070 to be priced more reasonably…. But not holding my breath.

I'd be fine with 1900 or 1999 if it is as big of a leap as the 4090 was and if they don't fuck up the European prices ofc.

Cool. I think once I finish Indiana jones il put my 4090 up for sale before prices depreciate after the 5090 announcement.

A new power connector? Already?

It's backwards compatible with 12vhpwr. The voltage pins are longer and the sense pins shorter, in hopes to make sure you firmly seat it.

However, it's still flawed, the margins of safety are still not that much.

Yeah, I'll be giving that one a huge miss. Can't justify that kind of money on just one component. Hopefully 5080 is an actual reasonable price.
Agreed. 5070 or 5080… if it’s close to a 4090 in performance/slight bump without a massive price increase then I’ll do it.

Otherwise I’ll be hunting for a remaining 4090 pre built lol.

As long as microcenter gives me a decent trade value on the 4090, and the performance is a step up, I'll get one. I need brute force power for my machenima efforts ( Reshade )

Currently they are willing to give me 1320$

This is random but I used to work at this restaurant in middle school, and there was a Funcoland next door. One morning while I was working there was this crazy police presence out of nowhere and we had to close the restaurant. Somebody executed the Funcoland employees and stole a bunch of Gamecubes.

Getting easier to ignore high-end components when prices have been getting too high for years on visuals that are hitting diminished returns anyways.

Midrange components, along with strides being made in the portable market are more exciting.

There's no point in paying 700 bucks for a Ps5 Pro, given how little games are optimised for high end hardware these days (thanks to the rampant greed that means games have to come out on everything to maximise profits).

What in the hell point is there in forking out this much cash for a graphics card?

Your first gaming PC being a 5090 is soooo bad ass. Lol.

I've been floating the idea around for years ever since the 1080ti came out but either didn't have the time or friends talked me out of it. I got a small taste of the "PC" world when I bought the steam deck when the OLED came out and absolutely love Steam, the prices of new and older games, the options, etc.

I truly think that this generation of consoles is my last and I will be full PC by the time next gen rolls around. At 37 I'm ready for this lol.

Day 1. It will be my first gaming rig so I want to do it right. I debated on building a 4080 super PC but thanks to you lads and the PS5 pro I held off and waiting patiently. Quarterly bonus will cover it.

Obviously if you have the cash go for it. But if I had no experience with PC gaming I honestly feel like a 5090 isn't going to be worth it vs a 5080. But I'm always someone who goes for the 80 cards so maybe I'm bias. I just never feel like the extra performance is worth the massive increase in cash.

Physical cores on the card dedicated to instantly compile shaders in any game, fixing all shader compilation stutters.

What was shown was after the patch.

I made a video showing the issue not happening in the DF topic :p

The day 0 patch was over the weekend (136GB), there was another patch less than a day before the game came out (36 GB).

Other posters than me on Era also corroborate the issue not happening to them.

2k to play 2d pixel and indy games because all the AAA games that could use it are slop anyway, sad times we live in.

So that you can pretend like you are better than everybody else. PCMR specialty.

I love pc gaming, but I can't stand PCMR

Ah yes, adamsapple and resetera. The trustworthy sources for all things Xbox.
Feel free to check it yourself. I play on PC, but tested it out on Xbox, and can't say I saw it either. It's either highly conditional, or its been patched out.

Pathetic if you buy this even with the disposable income you should have a long hard think about whether the money would be better invested in a PS5 pro.

What NVIDIA bullshit marketing features will this have? Fake frames? More fake frames? Fake colors?
You guys are seriously trying to say a ps5 would be a substitute for a 5090? It's not even comparable to a 4070.

It was going to sell out no matter what they charged so only holding the price to $2k was actually a kindness. They could have easily priced it at $5k
