What could Flynn and the Russians possible talk about though? I guess he panicked and asked his comrades what he and Trump should do in response to the expulsions?

No wonder Trump reacted so fast to Putin decided to do nothing to US diplomats in Russia. He knew what Putin was going to do for a while.

I think I was the first person to report in this topic about the NBCNews report when it aired live on MSNBC. At the time they definitely portrayed it as a false/hoax document and it helped change the tone going into the press conference that morning where CNN was vilified and the dossier dismissed as junk.

NBCNews definitely doesn't look good after this.

Can't go high if they go low and hit you right in the crotch or take out your knees, which I don't think Obama to this day understands. He sits in his "well I did things the right way that allows me to sleep at night" while everything around him burns.

Makes zero sense and for a guy who works a job with a massive amount of gray area, he definitely has this black and white (no pun intended) mentality about politics and the American public.

NBCNews lost a ton of credibility this week. Absolutely shameful "reporting".

It's incredible that the GOP went from a hairline anti-Russia agenda to pedaling what seems like pure propaganda in less than 7 months. It may be Manafort, it's more likely the party heads covering their asses.

The remnants of those hardline anti-Russia GOPers are all we have left keeping this from being swept under the rug. It worked out that Trump went out of his way to shit in so many in the GOP on his way in.

That summarizes his behavior perfectly. There comes a point where being completely honorable just for the sake of it is less honorable than playing dirty, because honor means little when people get hurt in the process. Hell, Obama didn't even have to play dirty, he could have just recognized the fact that the Republicans were.

I hope the announcement of a bipartisan investigation causes Trump to become more unhinged than anything seen so far. At the very least I want a consolation prize out of all this shit in the form of seeing the bastard truly become incoherent.

What I would expect in a sane universe:

Sane US President: "Of course there's no tape, I haven't done the things in that dossier."

President Trump: "Russia says they don't have a tape. They said it right in the Kremlin press release! What more do you want?"

SERIOUSLY? I thought the Russian tape was one of the lower probability claims in that dossier, but maybe what the heck denial is that?

While true, I would be more comforted if they had previously found wrongdoing of a top Republican leader. I don't think they want to bring down somebody who might have dirt on them as well.
