The problem with that reporter is that he didn't ask a question for a soundbite to help the President offer hope in this crisis. He asked a 'Declarative' question, in the hopes to pin a bad sound bite with a fallacy.
It was akin to 'Have you stopped beating your wife' and it is something the press loves to do with President Trump.
